When a plan goes out the window...

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

But for once it put a big :D on my face... :D

Hi chaps,

Sooooooo, decided as I was off work today and Mrs Fordoholic was at work that I would pop out to B&Q in B112 to buy a new hose reel then return home and paint my recently fitted new single leaf springs, a journey that is about 30mins round trip, but after picking up the hose that was it...I was off....driving here...driving there...up onto the M25 for a blast...back down a lovely B Road about four times then just driving and driving and more driving !! Started out at 12.15pm and did not get home till 2.55pm !! What a simply glorious day for a drive that I just could not bring myself to come home

This was also my first decent drive since driving back from Tickover after they refurbished my axle, prop and gearbox couple of weeks back. B112 drives superb now ! After the suspension work Ticlover also did with the 2.8 Single Leafs on the back and lowered by an extra 1.5" and 2" at the front, and with the 7x15 wheels on 195 50 tyres, I can really feel at one with the road now...every bump says "hello" to me   but I love it !! Drives so well now and deffo has more power transfer from front to back after the prop/axle was refurbished. Before it deffo lacked reaction to my right foot but now it feels much more responsive.

Soooooo, I did not get to paint up my leaf springs today but I had a bloody good drive instead :D :D :D

Al the best

Nick

You sound like a second-rate motoring journalist, Nick! There's a job at Autocar waiting for you... :D
It sounds like you had a terrific day and you seem to enjoy driving B112 even more now. 8-)

   Andrew this is brilliant ! I love it mate. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

I would deffo buy it for 99p if I wanted to have a romantic travel guide to the Bumpy B Roads of Enfield so I hope others travelling along these bumpy Enfield roads read my guide and find their journeys a lot smoother than I did with my single leaf springs lowered by 1.5"

My Corsica Guide was a tremendous success by the way. I did tell everyone that I went to Corsica didn't I ??? :)
