It's great when two members can get together and discuss important things (like their Capris :D )!
I hope you both had a great day.
It's a shame there are no forum members close to me. :(

Andrew.

Would love to live down that way with the Capri going over Dartmoor stopping for a cream tea at two bridges and a wonder around Tavistock market with dinner at some very nice old pub .

:sorry: JM no pics and no biscuits today.....A late plan so totally unorganised :?
Didn't even think about a pic, doh!

I was treated to two cuppa's so didn't miss the biscuits! Chatted for ages and I lost track of time. Good to meet a local Capri fan/owner. Thanks to Andy for the hospitality. Cracking car.

Ps, in my haste to remove some scratches from my passenger door mirror, I've take some of the mirror finish off my passenger door mirror. Can now see through it and into the casing. Not sure what to do. :crying:

I have not change a mirror on the Capri for years but this is from my head ( must be wrong ) you point the mirror all the way up and use a piece of flat plastic to unclimbed from the bottom . Or was that the Escort ?
Somebody on here will no .

And good news is they sell them at Trago Mills at Newton Abbot but was doing the place up in August .

I bought some ford paint there as it’s dirt cheap and looked at the mirrors and it said mk3 Capri 78-86 and thought Christ not seen that for years in a shop but they were moving stuff around as they opened the DIY part over the other side . I do love there car section as it’s like the old corner car shops you could visit in the 70s 80s .
But as I say if the drivers side you get under it on the right hand side and it should pop off , but Martin at Capri Gear should have what you want and tell you how to fit as I guess he has done loads .

Give him a ring tommorow
Web site https://www.caprigear.co.uk

When Martin posts out to me it’s seems to be here the next day so saves you going to Newton Abbot and you know it’s the right one . Passenger side must be a right pain in the what nots . Best of luck and do a how to picture or in my case sometimes how not to .

 Thanks Jason but will keep Trago in mind too.
Clearly I should do a "how not to“ post on using polishing compound with a drill based polisher! :nopity:

Which leads us to the age old dilemma of cream then jam or jam then cream. For me, it's cream then jam.
