steering coupling

steering coupling

Now I have looked and looked again but is the steering coupling on a mk3 Capri the same for all engine sizes IE 2.8i & 2.0 ?

Hi Jason,
Yes, it is the same part. CCI were saying that they only had limited stocks of the new pattern part and they were selling fast.They are discontinuing that line due to difficulties with the manufacturers, if I remember rightly.

We found one in the loft the other week and I just started sorting threw some parts this afternoon . So that’s a keeper as it’s brand new . Cheers Andrew . :beer:

Car(s): I have got a 1981 3000s and I have just got my self
A 1987 2.8i thay are both red
I had my first capri when I was 17" it was a 3000GTXLR
I have had a lot of fast fords vans all ways put bigger engine in
I also have had motor bikes I have a 1200 Suzuki bandit

Hi do you mean the two wot else ( cv) joints yes the are the same

That’s good it’s just I had a new steering rack and my steering feels fine but when I drove the other week the steering sort of stayed in the direction I was going for a few seconds I guess it’s me as going from power steering then the Capri your mind plays tricks . Like when you have new Tyres you fell the camber of the road more .

Check the spring tops are centred as well as your storing rack
