Dash Protectors

Post by andyd »

Found this on FB
Image

I have one in my Sierra (albeit from a different seller) but they look the same quality.

They are doing them for the Mk3 Capri soon

Q "Are these available for a Capri mk3?"

A "They will be very soon. Shame they have such probs with cracked dashboards...soon as we get it templated I'll announce it on the Cool Dash page"

That is a good alternative, or a towel :D

I don't think around £50 is a lot of money for something tailor made to protect a dash that will cost £££s to replace....

A few years ago you could get leather covers for all dash plastics in mk3's I'm sure it was on eBay but wouldn't be able to tell you who from. I remember they were black with coloured stitching if that's any help to anyone :)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLUE-STITCHI ... 1053736100 These have to be glued in place.

I prefer the other ones as they can be used as and when required.

Thanks for the heads up, Andy.
Personally, I'm not keen on the leather covers because they are a permanent fixture and they deviate from the original look.
The dash covers look just the ticket to use on the days where the car is parked in the sun.

 :agree: Long overdue, as they seem to make quite alot of them for 80's Fords....I love mine :D

With the price of a repair or new/replacemrnt dash, I think they have a good market with these.

I would call or email to get the heads up on production.

I do have a small crack in mine around the radio holes that I do know from many years ago don’t cover up when the radio is on as it keeps the radio cool .
But have just sent them a massage on Facebook . So when I get a answer I will let you all know , I did also ask how we order if not on Facebook .

But will look much nicer at shows .

So the guy was fast here is his response.

“Hi Jason

Thanks for reaching out to us. Yes we're currently waiting for the man to return from his holiday in order for us to get the dash templated. We'll be offering mk2/3 dash covers to cover all the major models in its traditional text type embroidered on a faux leather dash protector. Not only to protect but strengthen the appearance when parking up at events. This should be done within the next two weeks and we will be doing a very large advert, we shall notify you too.. We dont have a website to yet as its in the making but if anybody wants one they can email us at [email protected]

Hope this helps buddy
Col

So I think I will be putting my name down for one ....

Big thank you to Andy for the Headsup .

So just a quick update as I know we all use beer towels on our dash here what the fella who makes them posted up on Facebook today .

Hope this works as the WiFi is pants down here .

Hey guys and gals, good evening. So thought id tell you where things are currently. So we've been working behind the scenes of late sorting a few bits and bobs out. We've changed suppliers for our edging as things where not being sent to us on time, we're expecting a delivery tomorrow to get the ball rolling again, so those who have had to wait a bit longer, we send our apologies but this will no longer be an issue. We're gonna be introducing white in to the range of fauxs as this has been highly requested many times along with a new grey.

With the summer holidays here, some of our new releases have been put back a little with the kids being off but the good news is the Capri has now been templated thanks to our friend Peter who was good enough to let us template his beast and well be putting things together over the coming week, getting digitizing done and doing a final version for release. These will cover the 280 with a limited edition, the laser and the injection range which we're really excited about.

The MK1 Fiesta template is in its final stages we've redone this since our first version to ensure full coverage but we're working on a few tweeks before we get the first proper one made up.

Also a big thanks to Kelly who has been a great support for the Mondeo MK3, this will be done shortly and on the way to you not forgetting Lesley who has been working away like a trooper getting these made and doing tweeks at our request ;)

Have a good evening all

Plenty more covers in the pipeline

Cool Dash HQ
Any questions, please drop us a message

So not long to wait now .....

Thanks for the update Jason.
It's about time somebody made one of these for the Capri, fair play to guy who is doing them. He's going to be able to retire early because they are going to sell like hotcakes!
I'm definitely going to buy one.
