READ THIS FIRST BEFORE OTHER THREADS: Login Failing

I'm having to Login every time I post then re-Login before it accepts the post. If you are typing a long post then MAKE SURE YOU COPY THE TEXT BEFORE PRESSING ANY FORUM BUTTONS SUCH AS PREVIEW / SUBMIT etc.
Otherwise you might find you've wasted your time.

This has happened to me a few time as well even if I click "remember me" when logging in. I have found stuff I was typing by pressing the page back button at the top left of the page then re-logging in and submitting.

It's getting to be a pain though.

Hi all,

I have not been on here that much over the last week or so as this logging out issue is really winding me up. Keeps on bleedin logging me out when I try to post so I just give up after a few attempts. I do a lot of my posts from my mobile at work and just don't have the time to keep trying again and again and again

Just managed a post on another thread here after three attempts that finally went through and hoping this one goes through now..if it does it will be up here now

Hopefully it will get sorted soon.

All the best

Nick

You can just hit the back button a couple of times (even after the second login) and you will find your original message, then click submit again.

It doesn't seem to want me to go either, generally have to log off two or three times before I'm off.

Some of you might have seen a message yesterday from Beakster as the forum was down for a while he was backing up stuff for an update. He said it wasn't as straight forward as he hoped - what is! - but should be done soon.

Out of curiosity, is this log in thing still happening or has the update fixed the issues?

I'm still having to press log out at least twice before it works, and even then it still shows I'm logged in :?

Hi guys,

Sorry you've been having issues with the forum. A couple of weeks ago I started an upgrade to the latest version (3.2.2) but it didn't work. After many hours trying to find a solution I've instead opted for the more stable 3.1.12 which is still a lot newer than 3.1.2 which we were on before. Once the 3.2 branch becomes a bit more stable we'll move to that. I've also done a bit of housekeeping on the database so I hope this will clear up some of the issues you were all having. The latest version should have updated captchas too so a bit more security.

If there are still issues please post them here with as much detail as you can I'll endeavour to get them fixed asap. We should be on a good stable codebase now, but if there are issues I expect they are the fault of the hosting company so I will certainly raise them if they persist to they can get them fixed. :xd:

Hi,

The laser logo at the top left should be back now. If anyone is still having issues here are a couple of tricks:

1) Delete your chrome history. To do this click the 3 dots in the top right. Then More Tools -> Clear Browsing Data, then select All Time. Note that this will clear data for all of the sites on your computer too.

2) At the bottom of the forum click the link that says "Delete All Board Cookies".

Let me know if your logging in and out problems are resolved.

Thanks
