YES! I love that channel! Those two are a joy to watch, and their accents are funny to listen to as well. I was thinking of getting one of their stickers for my car.
Check out "Regular Car Reviews" too if you haven't already. His reviews can be absolutely hilarious if you are into that sort of humour and can get the jokes.
Check out his review for the Fox Body Mustang and the Mazda MX-5 (or if you're an American: "Miata") and go from there.

Re: You Learn Something New Every Day
Another interesting snippet of info about driving in NZ.
As here, it's against the law to use a mobile while driving. However, there is an exemption if you are phoning the Police to report another driver. The Police encourage the public to report bad drivers, by the way.

I wonder if something similar would have a positive effect in this country?

Hi Andrew. That's very interesting fella but can't see the British Police allowing the use of mobile phones even if its to report other users. Kinda defeats the object a bit. It could spiral out of control. Imagine someone uses their mobile to report someone then someone sees them on their phone and uses their phone to report the person who is reporting the person on their phone....then someone sees the person using their phone to report the person who is reporting the person on their phone so reports them....and so on....could get very messyAndrew 2.8i wrote:However, there is an exemption if you are phoning the Police to report another driverI wonder if something similar would have a positive effect in this country?

Re: You Learn Something New Every Day
So are you saying that if somebody was driving when on there phone reporting that somebody was driving and on there phone that the car behind could phone and say that the two cars in front are on there phones ?
What if the first guy is reporting that the 2nd guy is on the phone ?
Also I can do a small confession on here , then I will fill better and perhaps you guys will go easy on me .
But I posted in January that I had forgot to plug my trickle charger in well I went to start the car today and guess what ?
Yes it went one turn and I thought , “ pants I did not plug the charger in “
It’s on now on charge and hope it will start and drive on Tuesday to do my whistable run with my dad .

Re: You Learn Something New Every Day
It did cross my mind that if you were using your mobile to call the police, and were reported, you'd have a heck of a job trying to prove you were using it legitimately. The system must work well in NZ, but perhaps they have a better standard of driving and incidents of report-worthy bad driving are few and far between. If I had to report bad driving that I'd witnessed in this country, I would be on the phone constantly!

How about this https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-ne ... nd-1480302
In my experience, women (especially blonde) driving a Fiat 500 or 4x4 should never be on the road wearing sunglasses
On a 'B' road they have no idea where the centre of the road is, and hate getting in close to a hedge to enable oncoming cars to get through.

On the subject of sunglasses, that is a bit of a non-story. Are the police really going to check at the roadside how much light is being filtered by them?

Unfortunately yes Andrew.....We live on a B road.Andrew 2.8i wrote:Obviously speaking from experience there, Andy!andyd wrote:In my experience, women (especially blonde) driving a Fiat 500 or 4x4 should never be on the road wearing sunglasses

Not unless the person is getting pulled over for something else anyway (black and silver registration plates? ), and then they might check the sunglasses. Some Police do carry the light meter things for testing tinted glass.andyd wrote: Yes I'm sure the police have time to check that

Still on the subject of our Antipodean cousins, you've got to love the name of this easy-start product that is sold in Australia:
I've never heard of it before, but came across it today at a car show because somebody had made a tin into a cover for their coil. Brilliant!

Who says TV isn't educational?
Today I learned, from Escape to the Country, that the 'proper' way to taste tea is to by slurping it. This is to mix oxygen with the infused tea to enhance the flavours.
I've been drinking tea almost all of my life and I never realised this....

I've gone back to my old way as I was spilling tea down the front of my shirt. I'll have to use that tea towel as a bib.....Jasonmarie wrote:I just tried that and Marie gave me a clip round the ear and the kids said what are you doing now . Might have to go back to my normal way .
