Looking nice as normal but what have you done ? The exhaust tip looks new or you have given the car a great polish . Weather really hot here at the moment as I am wanting to try my new wax .

Nice! Are the RST wheels a silmilar offset to the originals? What brand tyres did you go for?

Morning Andrew,
The offset is 35 against 41 for standard wheels.

Went for Autogrip Tyres again. Although not the best reviews if you look for them, I had them on the standard Sierra wheels for 1000 miles and had no problems at all on dry or occasional wet roads. I think if you drive fast especially in the wet they wouldn't be the best choice, but I don't so they suit my needs :)

No traces of anything left at this one JM :D

This year it was good to hear the guy on the PA system telling visitors to respect the cars on show and make sure their dogs were under control  Obvious to most people I know, but not everyone :?

Lovely Sierra, bud...... I'm toying with a Sierra or mk5 Cortina as my daily while the Capri gets built.
Used to have a P100 pickup and fancy another before the RS tax takes hold..... :ford:

Thanks Tim :D

Good Idea! Mine could easily be used everyday, and as Fords go the Sierra is still a relatively cheap option.

Thanks to a third party friend, last week I was given the contact details to a company that is involved in public relations, media relations, digital and social media, photography and video etc.
They had eventually decided they required an 80's Ford ideally an XR3, to use on a local photoshoot showing what essential items a girl in the 80's would have taken to university (type writer, books, board games, music cassettes, radio/cassette, tennis racket etc) compared with some of todays items,(Laptop, mobile phone, etc etc) and a car from each era. After a quick phone call it was decided that my car would suit the job :D
Here are a couple of pics from this morning. You should be able to click on the images twice to enlarge them and see my boot half full with items, more so in the first pic....

Their close friend and neighbour has a 1977 Red RS2000 but they thought it too 'sporty' for this shoot.....
It turns out I also know the car and owner, so I will make sure he knows I stole his 'job' next time I see him

Hi Andy,
That's great!
I often wonder how cars get to be used in adverts, magazine features and the like. It sounds like you were in the right place at the right time!
A bit of a kick in the teeth that they didn't consider your XR to be sporty though...…

The third party friend knew I was in the 'XR Posse' hence my involvement.

I would have thought their original XR3 choice was more sporty looking than the RS2000 :? They obviously wanted the 'Sleeper' look after all :D

Anyway, all part of the fun with these cars
