Drive it Day

Post by andyd »

Never heard of it before, but was made aware last week so I decided to go last Sunday, and it was a great day out helped by the dry weather :) Around 200 cars attended our local event a static display on the green at Dawlish, a 35 mile round trip and a good first run for the XR this year.

Got a pic of my car in this too :D https://www.classiccarweekly.co.uk/buy- ... april-2018

Looking forward to this event in 2019.

Hi Andy,
That does sound like a brilliant day out, and a nice 35 mile spin is probably just what your car needs to clear the cobwebs after the winter lay-up.
Congrats on getting your car into the mag. 8-)

Hey Andy, I had a copy of CCW in my hand today at Sainsburys. Sneaked off for a quick read while Mrs F was in the vegetable section ;)

Yep i seen the article on Drive it Day. In fact the first 8/10 pages were full of it with loads of pics of cars taking part. If I get a chance I must pop back and get a copy. Thing is I usually do do what made me put it back on the shelf I will never know

Great your XR got into this issue. Did you check behind you to check if I was photo bombing you mate

Glad you had s good day and faultless drive. Nice one mate

Hi Nick,
I'm on page 18 as are many more from the Dawlish show! The photographer insisted we had to stand next to our cars  so you photo bombing would have been the least of my worries :)

I checked first to make sure I was in it before spending £2.99

I tried to find somewhere that sold CCW, but without success.
Hopefully somebody will post the photo on here.

Hi Andy,
Your car looks stunning, and how fortunate that you happened to be wearing a Ford T-shirt that day!
Judging by those few photos shown here, that show you went to looks like it had some very tasty cars there.
Thanks for posting the photo, Jason.
