Grandpa's Great Escape !

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

Hi all,

Hope you all had a great New Year ! Just watching this drama I taped on BBC1 earlier on this evening set in the 80's and am half way through it and a couple of beauties already. Check em out....

That RS2000 must be on the show scene as its taxed and mot'ed so still been driven. Lovely motor as are the cop cars too ! Oh and just for Andy the lad in the scene with the RS2000 is just setting off on his Raleigh Chopper...or is it a Tomahawk ?? :)

Culture Club and Duran Duran mentioned too. Pick'N'Mix sweets being sold at the local paper shop....oh and the driver of that RS2000 looking like this...

Hang on just a min...this lad reminds me a bit of a young lad on this forum who cherishes his Ford (s) and has some striking similarities albeit without the hair do !!! Anyone know who I may be referring too....driver of a Black 1.6 Laser with an exhaust to rival the sound a Spitfire makes and not afraid to show the cops who is the boss on the streets of Bristol ??? As they said in the 80's..."answers on a postcard please"

Oh......times were sooooooooooo much more straightforward back in the 80's !

Anyway great start to my New Year to see that Green RS2000...Gorgeous motor and spot on colour too :D

"Fordoholic Watch 24/7" sigining out..... :ford:

All the best

Nick

Hi Nick,
Didn't watch it but nice RS, and that's a Mk2 Chopper.
Noticed the Herald on the drive too.

I see what you mean about the driver
