Hi there,
Can anyone tell me if Escort Mk1, Mk2 spring shackles will be suitable for a Mk3 Capri?
Cheers

Re: Escort Spring Shackles
Hi Dave,
From memory, I think the escort shackles are slightly narrower than the Capri ones as, I believe, the springs for the Escort are a different width. Whether or not they can be wangled to fit, I don't know.
However, I'm sure Martin at Caprigear or The Capri Club will be able to supply the correct items that will fit perfectly.
Andrew.

Thanks for your reply. The ones I saw were from motorsport tools and they are £23 but the capri ones from cci are £70 or something like that. Very pricy. Can martin get new ones cheaper?

I don't know, but a few years ago I bought some used powdercoated shackles off Martin that were in better condition than when new.Hot_Protein wrote: Can martin get new ones cheaper?
They were much cheaper than new ones too!

The shackles with new nuts added look great!
