Re: New sender units
Hi Paul,
I haven't bought one of those senders, it does look like good quality though.
Is this for your 280? I'm sure that you will already be aware of this, but the sender is different for the 2.8. On the one shown in the photo, there are two fuel pipe connections.
The Retroford website list the correct 2.8 sender as being out of stock. If your current sender is broken you could try fixing it yourself, as described on this thread.

Hi,
Martin at Caprigear might be able to get some stock, CCI also have them in stock.

Unfortunately I can't find out who supplies these so you'll have to go through Capri Club or Retroford. I would like to find out though.

Re: New sender units
They were being made by a member called "Big J" or Joe as his real name is. He goes by Big J on CP as well.Caprigear wrote:Unfortunately I can't find out who supplies these so you'll have to go through Capri Club or Retroford. I would like to find out though.

Re: New sender units
True but just take a hammer to the return pipe and flatten it out, then it will work fineAndrew 2.8i wrote: but the sender is different for the 2.8. On the one shown in the photo, there are two fuel pipe connections.
Re: New sender units
No, the ones supplied by Joe were totally different to the ones being sold through CCI and retroford.

Re: New sender units
Several months ago this was a rare item which could keep your car of the road. Now there are a couple of manufacturers supplying brand new ones. How good is that!
