Sender units from retroford international £95 ,anyone used them are they any good,was going to order but thought I would check if anyone one here knows first thanks guys ,Paul.

Hi Paul,
I haven't bought one of those senders, it does look like good quality though.

Is this for your 280? I'm sure that you will already be aware of this, but the sender is different for the 2.8. On the one shown in the photo, there are two fuel pipe connections.
The Retroford website list the correct 2.8 sender as being out of stock. If your current sender is broken you could try fixing it yourself, as described on this thread.

Martin at Caprigear might be able to get some stock, CCI also have them in stock.

Unfortunately I can't find out who supplies these so you'll have to go through Capri Club or Retroford. I would like to find out though.

They were being made by a member called "Big J" or Joe as his real name is. He goes by Big J on CP as well.

True but just take a hammer to the return pipe and flatten it out, then it will work fine :)

No, the ones supplied by Joe were totally different to the ones being sold through CCI and retroford.

Several months ago this was a rare item which could keep your car of the road. Now there are a couple of manufacturers supplying brand new ones. How good is that!

I have had no reply from text message to this chap, but he does answer the phone which I find is easier anyway.
