Bloody hell, he DOES look scary!! Mind you, a lot of those 70s stars with big staring eyes turned out to be very scary indeed didn't they...pbar wrote:The best kids show ever? It's got to be a contender but I'm glad that they changed Bungle, that one looks scary!

Re: Who Remembers?
There's always things that you remember where you was and I remember always wanting to take one of them lamps home so I could take it apart I even had a set of cat eyes that I dug out the junction where we lived as a kid and never took the lamp home as I was worried my mum or dad would make me return it .
Happy times

Re: Who Remembers?
I remember them well, my uncle who was a builder used two have a few of them. He used to leave them on skips when they were still allowed to be left in the road. His were Paraffin operated - I remember having to go down to the garage at the bottom of the lane where he lived to get him a gallon of Esso Blue.pbar wrote:Used to see these things all the time!
Remember the old "smoke gets in your eyes" advert for Esso Blue?

I had plenty of nettle stings as a child, always seemed to be getting them. But could never find a doc leaf when I needed it!

Re: Who Remembers?
Hi Paul. We are staying in Hemsby mate. Think the holiday park is called Sunnydown Holiday Park. Lovely caravan. Yep Norfolk is beautiful indeed. So much to see and sandy beaches that go on for miles. Even the Amusements part is great...very 'Retro Entertainment' but I not been allowed to play in there yet...hmmm....maybe if I give my last rolo to Mrs F she might let me.....pbar wrote:Whereabouts in Norfolk are you, one of my favourite parts of the world that is.
