Hi Nick,
Great stuff, that's amazing!
Thay've made a really good job of that, especially considering they can't see what they are doing because they are wearing those stars over their faces....

Nice find Nick, never seen a Capri sand sculpture before. They look like holiday makers and as such, I bet they didn't make it. I remember seeing people on the beaches sat beside a sculpture, 'patting' it pretending they are working on it, with the change bucket with them, yet the locals had made them hours earlier!

Great story Paul. Did they get a bashing from the locals mate for cashing in on their hard work ? Reckon you might be right about these chaps with the Capri...their hands show no sign of being 'sanded up'.......pbar wrote:I bet they didn't make it. Everybody knew Nick, it stood out a mile I got the impression that it was common practice though, as soon as the proper sand artists went home the pretenders would pounce!

Looking at that picture, I just thought that had run out of modellers clay & sent their designers to the beach..

I love the details that have been put in it. The hockey stick, air vents, twin headlights, bonnet bulge, the bumpers, it's all there.
