Hi to you all on this forum .
First I'm going to start with an apology before hand for my writing , english in not my mother tongue plus dyslexia doens't help therefore I do make many mistakes on the spelling and grammar .So if i'm not clear on some passage please point it out so i can (try ) to rectified it .
So .Then. I'm writing here on behalf of 2 friend that are working on a Capri.
and to ask for a little help on chosing parts for a Capri 1.3 (1973 ) LHD that had been converted with a sierra consworth engine , the latter was used on a rally car therefore slightly tuned does develop a power in the region of 280hp .
We are buying or try to buy part from england where those are widely available . So far we find some item on Burton website .
But we need suggestion because the car will be used mainly on open road , so everything regarding suspension setting for istance need to be not too exstreme but in the other hand sometime this car will go on a track day for fun only.
What we 're really looking for at the moment that is very important is a short turning sterring rack and possibly the application of a an elctric power steering . We saw this part available but only for escort and we aren't sure what parts are really compatible between the two models and what not .
And a tip to what type of a LSD to use
P.S .I meant to post this topic in the project section , can some adm kindly move it in the more appropiate section .
Many thanks for your help

Hello and welcome!
There are a few people on here that know what you want, that have built or own road going track cars.. or do I mean track going road cars?? I'll try and message a few of them in your direction.

I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.

if you have the skills to tranplant a YB in along with the electrics then you have all the skills to fit a Vauxhall Corsa electric system to your existing column. Quickracks for capris are VERY hard to come by. Haven't seen one in years.

Escort quickracks are readily available over here and I have heard that they can be adapted but I have no idea how as they are too narrow. As for the power steering, use Corsa C stuff as its readily available.
