Hi Andy,
Thanks for posting.
I was expecting to see a white XR4X4 leaving in a cloud of tyre smoke......
A couple of nice Granada coupes in there, but not much Capri action, unfortunately.

Maybe 20 years ago I would have obliged with a smoke trail  Didn't see anyone with a camera when we left....

Strange, if the You Tube vids are anything to go by, most Ford meets attract a huge crowd at the entrance/exit. It's as if drivers of old Fords have got a reputation or something....... :D

When we left in my mates 51 reg bog standard 5 door 1.6 zetec focus there was about 6 people with cameras. When they seen his car they all dropped the cameras and waited for something better haha. Only paid a 10er to enter in that tho and he parked it up next to a line of modded focuses ha.
Was a great day. Little lad loved it. Met Andy, Neil (sheff) and Danny and spoke to a few other people at different stands. The museum is excellent. Defiantly worth another visit soon. There wer a lot of capris there but all scattered around. I didn't notice a designated Capri stand. Neil and Danny have very nice cars and Andys xr is pretty. Iv been back on eBay trying to fill the ford void since ha. Still got the Capri but she's far from show worthy ha
I KNOW MY CAR IS OLDER THAN ME......WHATS YOUR POINT???

Found it by accident Rob :)

Yes some nice cars there, but too many modern cars for my liking.
Hypocrite alert, I have had Focus St's and they are nice cars, but can take or leave them now tbh....Think it's to do with certain owners, as I'm same with the Subaru Impreza's :?

I do like the sound of the Focuses (Foci ?)with the 5 pot Volvo engine.

Not my cup of tea driving like that though; if I've spent hundreds of hours restoring a car I wouldn't want the risk of damaging it and I can't afford to put a new pair of rear tyres on it every week.

Maybe I'm getting old, I used to drive like a cnut when I was younger. :drive:

:agree: That engine sounds great, and doesn't promote slow driving

I used to drive a lot quicker than I do now. As you say older and wiser.....?

I think we all did. I like to think I've calmed down now, even if it's just a little bit!
