Lol, I know, it is Basildump, not a lot of educated people here (I live here after all), especially the kind who hang out under overpasses and graffiti the walls with LIES.

Your car looks superb in that moody shot, by the way.

I lived in Billericay a few years back and the council put labels on the red dog waste bins to inform the local residents that they weren't post boxes....

Yes really!!!!

Also great car pics too

Awesome pic. As said, very moody and atmospheric.

I still struggle to get my head around this sort of thing. Is the thought process "I don't understand* apostrophes, so I'll just stick one in anywhere I see an 'S' at the end of a word"? Surely the sensible way to hide their ignorance would be to not use them at all? An absence of an apostrophe where there should be one is far less glaring than using them like they're going out of fashion.

(Rant over - s'orry it really grind's my gear's) ;)

*actually, maybe it's not failing to understand, maybe it's just being too lazy to learn? It's not exactly rocket science!

(Rant really over now)

And they haven't put one on 'don't' which would always have one! (As it is a substitute for the letter O)

I like it when referenced to foodstuffs and vehicles. "Best Quality Potato's."

Best Quality Potato's what?!

That happens a lot around here I have noticed, threads going in directions they were never intended to (which is perfectly ok if you ask me, as long as people are having fun!). :)

Amazingly this time Fordaholic Nick wasn't involved!

That's what is so great about this place. Other forums would probably ban the perpetrator for such a breach of forum rules.

Oh I know. I bloody hate that! "Lets make up arbitrary rules because we as admins have a little button on the screen which says "ban this user" and that makes us think we can RULE THE WORLD!!"

Bloody insane how people act after gaining just the very infinitesimally small amount of "power".

 "Hello, is it me you're looking for.......I can see it in your eye's....."

Now what's all the fuss about people's use of apostrophe's chap's. And I shall accept that remark of your's Mr Arya about being amazed at me not being involved in any form of "re'direction" of this thread's content's as an error of judgement. I never divert thread's to another dimension....

Oh by the way did I tell you's all that I bought a pair of Tommy Hilfiger Trainers today after work...

Proper smart they are :) Hoping to wear them at Beaulieu...weather permitting

Oh yep, before I exit this thread I also want to agree that that is indeed a brilliant photo of your Capri Ayra. Well cool :)

All the best

Nick

PS. A quick test for you all. Can anyone guess the number of speech marks (") I have hidden amongst the apostrophe's below. Winner get's a free copy of the latest issue of Classic Ford Mag sent to you after I have read it of course ! The winner will be the nearest guess to the actual number being within a +/- of 5 :goodluck:
