Very useful list but one major supplier you missed was Nial Diamond in Leicestershire, 07938 - 438515. Restores and breaks Capris and sells new, reconditioned and secondhand parts at reasonable prices.

Great idea to compile a list. There are plenty on there which I haven't heard of. Are all of these active though? I think we have discussed previously some of those sites which propose to have a massive range of new Capri parts actually, don't?

I think most of them are active?
I buy ,most of my parts from Motomobil.com, a German company specialised in parts for all sorts of classic Fords, they have over 4000 Capri parts.
They were the only place i could find a new bumper for my Mk2 Ghia and also tailgate struts.

That's brilliant then. Motormobil were one of the ones I was thinking of, the list of parts seems too good to be true and I thought that they had been mentioned around here before because of that. But if you've been able to buy a lot from them that's great!

The Radiator Specialists: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-CAPRI-1- ... SwU9xUNt-L

Absolutely great service and the products they make are of top notch quality. Fixed an overheating and running problem i was having and looks great in the engine bay too.
Highly recommended!

Johno Capri Man [email protected]

Can't recommend him enough... great guy, really good price for the 3.75 axle and heater matrix i got off him. Had a good reminisce about cars, roads and a whole manner of things.. top guy, if you're in the London area give this guy a shout!

Powdercoat

Post by Noel »

I was looking at getting some bits powerdercoated a couple of months ago, and had quotes of £75 each to do a pair of bumpers.
Anyway that guy had a problem with his oven and got behind with his orders so he recommended I used De-Corrosion services. They advertise in Practical Classics, but don't have website or anything like that.

I subsequently got the pair of bumpers and some brackets done for £130 the lot, which was better value than my earlier quotes.
He then did my front bumper and the radiator cowl for an even keener price last week.
I think they do a lot of car related stuff, both coating, and shell stripping. I've seen a Karman Ghia and a Mustang shell in there, and postboxes, radiators, wheels, all sorts.

If you're in the Surrey, Middlesex or general south western side of London then give them a call.
De-Corrosion services at Littleton Lane in Shepperton. call 01932 564 666.
