But how on earth did Bernard Manning get himself onto a Saturday morning kids show! Great stuff Andy, great times!
Re: Who Remembers?
Incredible, but most people weren't so offended back then. Times have changed and not necessarily for the better.....pbar wrote:But how on earth did Bernard Manning get himself onto a Saturday morning kids show! Great stuff Andy, great times!

Here is our very own Lewis Collins, being wheeled around by dressed up 'nurse' Sally James in a short skirt and boots.
I think this clip is also where Lewis made his 'rape in the streets' comment.
Imagine any of the above now, the furore it would cause!

Re: Who Remembers?
Those are great Particularly remember the always-in-a-rush woman dangerously crossing the road with her kid. And we really should continue to have information films now, they seem to be much needed.andyd wrote:

As for Texan bars, never a favourite of mine, for the reason you mention!

Re: Who Remembers?
Liking the bread clip. Cool stuff.
I know I'll be getting lynched but I hate most 70"s things, big hair, big moustaches, flares, big spangly guitars, glam rock, Bernard manning and to top it all off most male celebs are being found out to be paedophiles. There was some good stuff including the Capri clearly but my recollection of that period apart from cars was Brown, and Yellow wall paper, glass ornaments and smoke filled social clubs. I just don't hold that period in the same league as the 80's, maybe an age thing. Lenny Henry to me by the way is about as funny as incurable diseases.
