Congratulations on your new arrival! It looks a stunning example which doesn't surprise me. Looking forward to some good weather next year in May, so I get a chance to see it
Not sure you'll be allowed to join the Capri's at the National.... That is why I love Simply Ford, even if I have to que behind a hundred orange Focuses to get in
All the best

It's a really honest clean car that would have been a crime not to own IMO
It wont be left in Public Car parks at any show, it will be on display with the rest

The Mk4 has grown on me the last few years, the Mk3's if you can find a good one are £££'s more.
Most D Reg XR's have rotted so just goes to show dry storage is essential

Must have been sleeping, didn't realise you'd bought a new car. Great looker Andy, what a find with that mileage, fancied one that looked just like it in my St Fagans post. Thought you didn't have any more room in your bedroom for anything else
Enjoy it mate, looks a nice one.
Cheers,
Rob

Re; St Fagans E444TYA nice looking car,was it with the XROC?
That's Radiant Red mines Rosso Red being a early Mk4 Car.

Re: My New Toy
Wasn't parked by the club so assume it wasn't with them, looked good though and I like the eighties grey interior, which again was in good shape. Owned a Mk4 Orion Ghia for a while but xr's escaped me as always drove Capris as my sporty ford. Still like them though, they get more appealing as they get older. See if you can put more miles on this oneandyd wrote: Re; St Fagans E444TYA nice looking car,was it with the XROC?

I've just be looking through your photos again, and have come to the conclusion that really is a stunning XR3i. The interior looks as if it's never even been sat in. Pity you're not bringing it to Bristol in September as we'd love to see it.
Funnily enough, I've just stumbled upon the advert for it (I wasn't looking for it, honestly). I can't believe the advertised price, you stole it from them! What a bargain.
As a bonus, it will be eligible for free road tax in another 11 years....andyd wrote:29 Years Old Tomorrow 12th August

All the best,
Andrew.
I paid less than that
Want to get some Waxoyl on the underside and replace the front tyres, although legal they are 23 years plus,
hence not putting it on the road until the Spring.
Small Cigarette burn? on passenger seat and one on carpet behind the same seat, apart from that its really good.
Andy

That's one of the reasons why I don't allow passengers to smoke in my cars.........
The damaged seat is not really an issue. Worst case scenario is to replace the affected material, and passenger side material should be easier to find in mint condition than with the driver's side.
All the best,
Andrew.
