What A Clown
As title.
Yes, he's overtaking. Yes, he's crossed the solid white line. Yes, they're approaching a bend.

Both of them are nothing compared to what i incurred yesterday on Grane Road near Blackburn. LWB High sided van overtook me and 2 other vehicles at a blind S bend. Was hoping there were no cars coming the other way otherwise fatalities were imminant. The van was actually leaning round the bend!!! At one stage i thought it was going to tip over.

It's drivers like this that take the enjoyment out of going for a drive for pleasure. Some people just have to be competitive and get ahead all the time.
All the best,

But Steve, he's a real man who is extremely successful in life and it's his right to drive however he likes.stevemarl wrote:The still doesn`t do it justice, you need to see how fast the blind bend is approaching...
Don't these people ever wonder what would happen if somebody was driving the other way? I assume that's a national speed limit road, oncoming traffic would be around that corner in a flash.
All the best,
Andrew.

That is ridiculous driving. Absolutely mind-numbingly stupid.

What annoys me is that, even if you have film of such lunacy - send it to the police and they`re not interested. They should actually be encouraging the reporting of these things, it`s doing their job for them and it could take some of the lunatics off the road. They should have a dedicated website.

Re: What A Clown
I reckon everyone should be made to take a repeat theory/practical test every two years to retain their driving licences. People like that wouldn't be able to recall how to drive like a civilised human being and 90% of BMW and Audi drivers would be off the road, making the roads a much nicer, safer place.
Re: What A Clown
TBH, I know that was a BMW, but I wouldn`t even put BM drivers in the same group as Audi`s - they are now by far & away in a class of their own!
And why do they think because they`ve got a big tonka truck they can intimidate & push smaller vehicles off the road? If I`m going in a straight line they can get as close as they like - touch me even - `cos if they do touch me then that`s driving without due care! Even if you`ve got a Q9 or whatever.
* Except when I`m driving Capri.

The bigger the Car the bigger the A**hole behind the wheel, I'm not easily intimidated on the road and let them know it

I think you should re take a test if you are found guilty of dangerous driving as this 'Knob' or 'Knobette'?-JC- wrote:I reckon everyone should be made to take a repeat theory/practical test every two years to retain their driving licences. The thing that annoys me most is the way these drivers sit two inches from your bootlid if you have the audacity to be using 'their' third lane on a motorway when your overtaking something that's in the middle lane.
There's just no need for it.

I'm not sure about a periodic retest!
How about a simple multiple choice one-question test?
"Do you aspire to own:-
A) A BMW.
B) An Audi.
C) None of the above because I'm not an arrogant photocopier salesman who feels the need to over-compensate for other shortcomings"
There you go, easy.
Andrew.

trying to make out their actions are OK and you're in the wrong...
7.00/8.00 on a Sunday morning is the best time to be out driving, before the idiots get up.

Yes, I've noticed that too. What a complete bunch of...
Whenever I make a driving mistake, as we all must do at times, I'm happy to hold my hand up and mouth "sorry".

Re: What A Clown
The more I think of it, the more I like the idea of Google's self-driving car for town driving.
That would be the end of aggressive behaviour.
