Mind you I supose they are selling them unlike Ford's late shape KA. I had a couple of Firenzas back in the day, never a fan of the odd slant fan engine.
I can understand the new Viva being aimed at those who would have bought a Hyundai Atoz or Suzuki Wagon R or some other piece of delightful Oriental minaturised engineering, but the Adam must be GM's answer to the Fiat 500 or a cheap version of the Mini with all the different colours and trim options you can get. I guess it's named after Adam Opel, the man who founded the company whose name it wears in the rest of europe.
Like everyone says though, whats the point of either of them? Imho it would probably make more sense from a manufacturing prospective if Vauxhall / Opel offered the Corsa as a boggo windy windows no frills version, (a la Dacia Sondero) for about £7-8k and further up the range introduced all the colour/trim Adam options to appeal to those who may buy a Fiat 500.
