its a 2.9 24v cosworth engine , everything is still in my mk3 capri , the engine had done 120k in other car , has good oil pressure , no smoke or rattles , did run very smooth , still runs but has ecu problem , ran excellent then parked up for a few months now wont run right , on the forums this does happen occassionaly on these engines , just needs ecu resetting & it will set its self up when driving it , noisy waterpump but supplied with another pump , k&n cone filter , no cats , 2.8i capri engine mounts new rubbers , radiator , hoses new, twin automatic cooling fans new, heavy duty clutch plate & escort cosworth cover plate all new , 5 speed manual with propshaft , starter motor , alternator , boa exhaust manifolds , boa wiring loom , ecu , custom made big bore stainless exhaust front to rear for mk2 & 3 capri,s , cost 500 quid on its own , nearly new 2.8i fuel tank pump lines & filter , everything to bolt straight in a capri , not sure how much resetting the ecu is but cant see it costing that much .

Hi Simon,if you do end up breaking it I could do with both the bumpers.

i am supprised at the lack of interest , only sold axle & when i take that off i cant move the car so if i dont get many replies it may go to scrap yard complete , my mk1 isnt undercover & cant put garage up until this has gone but it will get to the stage where it will go to scrappy as is

Welcome to my world! I get sick of posting cars being broken and getting next to zero interest or replying to peoples requests for parts. Why people bother posting ads requesting items then ignore replies is totally beyond me.
It's even worse on Capri Power. What I tend to do now is to list the parts on E Bay as soon as they're stripped off the cars - not an ideal situation but unfortunately that seems to be the way people want it.

at the moment i,l take engine & all fitting & running parts for engine , all suspension & the rest will go for scrap , shame really shells had 2 new wings & only one plate on passenger footwell but my mk1 is getting all the shit off the tree in the street , must put up the garage & mk3 is in the way so i dont have any choice as mk1,s worth 5 times what mk3 is

It does seem a shame, lots of good parts there. I guess people just don't have any money to spend at the moment, or maybe they're unwilling to spend.

I understand its annoying, I've tried selling parts on here before and people have ended up ignoring me. Having said that, it does come across sometimes that you have an attitude toward your customers Martin, perhaps thats what puts some people off?

So if it's so good.... Then why's it being broken???
Only got yourselves to blame on this one. Eyes full of £££ signs. You all killed your own game.

Just my opinion Martin but your replies never mention a price. If you said yes I've got one it's £xxx then we'd all have a bit more idea what's what.

the first one to pay me a grand without axle which has already sold unless you can supply me with a good complete 2.0 axle before next wednesday & i wont unbolt it & front struts gets it , so you bring your own struts & supply me with axle to keep it rolling to take it away .

Point taken, thanks. I'll start to do that. but bear in mind that My prices have to have V.A.T added, this is totally out of my hands, I don't like it any more than you do but that's the way it is.
As for Attitude mentioned in a previous post. I don't enjoy having my time wasted. I'm usually on these forums either before I leave for work in the morning or in the evenings after a day in the workshop and since the end of July I've been running the whole business single handed so surely you can understand the frustration due to timewasters. If people are genuine and straightforward with me then they get the same respect back.

i can see it from both sides as i owned all classic restorations in california & you can get some real arsehole customers & one i threw him out , it is very frustating being a business owner & it is extremely hard to make a living in this country , i have just given up my workshop from lack of work thats why i have no room for all my cars , also im stuck in this country until house prices go back up , then you wont see my arse for dust to get on the next plane back to california .
