Thanks Andy!

The April date is a week before the Weston show, so I doubt I'll be going that month.
May will clash with, or is only a week before, the CCI Nationals.
June, July and August will probably clash with everybody's favourite local shows (dates to be confirmed).
A late season visit in September should be on though! :D

Police presence this month and from 11.35 you can see a flashing blue light :? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgWWG13aY4E

Due to boggy ground they were turning cars away quite early too.

Sadly I fear this event is turning into a 'Chav Fest' and not sure if I will attend too many more times :( Will see what I read or hear.

If anyone else is interested I can do August meet or possibly September if dry.

The Police presence isn't a complete surprise, it was pretty much inevitable.
Although there are a lot of modern cars at Haynes, personally I feel that there are more than enough classic cars of interest to make a trip once or twice a year worthwhile.
I'm hoping to go in August or September too. :D

Will hopefully see you and a few others at WSM and CCI before that

Changes from March 1st;

1. The 1st Sunday of the month: FUTURE CLASSICS (POST 1980'S)
For all post 1980’s cars; this includes modern, sports and super cars and any ‘future classics’.

2. The 2nd Sunday of the month: VINTAGE & CLASSICS (PRE 1980'S)
Dedicated to pre 1980’s cars, we welcome all veteran, vintage or classic cars.

All info here; https://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/news/ ... ig-changes

We will still be the first Sunday so nothing has really changed for us apart from we won't see pre 1980 cars!

Personally I would have liked pre and post 1990.

Thanks for info Andy. Agree with pre/post 1990 and yes maybe I'm a bit biased. Then again, they do have to draw a line somewhere I guess.

Not sure what shows/meets I can make at present. For me, Haynes was a mixed bag (fellow Capri's and pals excepted of course) so I'll probably be concentrating on shows; hopefully I can attend more this year.

The decision by Haynes is disappointing as it means that we'll be bundled in with the modern boy racers.
I suppose we can only try it and see what it's like.

Yes we are lumped in with the burning rubber brigade Andrew  No more early Escorts, Capris, Triumphs or MGs etc :?

Classic and modern cars should have been the way forward.

I'm not that interested in looking at post 2000 cars, and many of the owners of those vehicles aren't into classic cars. Therefore that should have been the year (which is now 20 years ago so plenty of cars will still attend).

I can see post '80 being really busy and pre '80 being quiet especially in winter months, and guess which one will get Police presence :sneaky:

As you say will give it a go in August even just to catch up with some of you chaps :)

P.S. Bring your baseball cap

The Haynes museum, café and venue hire are all closed until further notice. There's no mention of the breakfast meet but until we know otherwise it's probably safe to assume that's been cancelled too.

April 5th cancelled but 12th still going ahead https://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/event ... -post-1980

Obviously they will be closing them down nearer the time I would think!
