Silverstone Classic event - great Capri line up

Great day at Silverstone classic event today, several racing capris in a 40 minutes race, all pit area and racing garages open to public to see these great racing capris up close and hear them being prepared for the race (very loud) and we joined over 50 capris on the parade lap to celebrate the 50 years.
Highlights of the weekend are to be shown on ITV4 8th August with several repeat times over that weekend
Thanks to Kris and Calvin at Surrey Capri Club for sorting out members stand

Hi Mark. Wow this looked a stunning day out at Silverstone getting access to the garages etc and all them Capris too
Must have been brilliant for you chaps to drive that parade lap too. Were you there with Lee? Thanks for the pictures fella. Nice one. By the way are you chaps rocking up to The Ace this weekend by any chance? Anyway great pictures again. Some almighty Capris there mate. Cheers Mark

The date in the original thread is wrong, ITV4 programme is on 11th August at 9 pm and then repeated on 14th and 16th August at various times
We are planning to go to the Haynes breakfast meeting on Sunday if weather is good Nick

Brilliant pictures Mark. Looked to be a great day out. Would have loved to have seen it. The sounds of those racing Capris must have been great to hear at full chat. Really like those flared arches on the MK1's, think they really enhance the shape. Cheers for the pictures

Just watched this hour long Silverstone programme on ITV4, plenty about the Minis 60th birthday including a race, but they showed no more than 10 seconds of the Capri parade lap and a few words

Fair enough to celebrate the Mini but they should have given equal coverage to the Capri too!
