Hi,
I quite like the look of this Breakfast club held at the Haynes museum in Sparkford, Somerset. It's held on the first Sunday of every month.
Would anyone else be interested in going along for one of the summer meets?

Yes I would, but June, July and August(?) clash with other shows.
Been thinking of it for a while but never got around to it. Have been in the Museum before it's good.

May 6th could be good.

Like you, I've been thinking about going to see what it's all about. There's a few videos on YouTube of cars leaving the events, it seems to be a nice mix of classics and exotics. Obviously, there's plenty of modern stuff too but what show/meet hasn't got them?
Unfortunately, the May date clashes with the CCI National, so sadly that's a definite no for me.

I've been to the Haynes museum two or three times now and I honestly think it is the best museum in the country, especially if you like post war cars. It is huge and there are a wide variety of cars and motorbikes on display.

Back in the nineties when I was studying for my HND in Automotive engineering, the course I did involved quite a bit of research into historic vehicles and I studied 2 days a week at Gaydon, plus some time at Beaulieu and have seen everything in both including behind the scenes and the archives but after all this I still prefer Haynes. It's more "up my street" I suppose.

I think a Breakfast meet would be too early for me with my mother caring duties and the 120 miles I would have to travel but it sounds good.

I look at it a different way. The breakfast meets end early, still allowing me to get home at a reasonable time. Besides, it's not like I'm planning to go all the time, maybe once or twice during the summer.
I think the main reason that I'm willing to travel to Bristol or Haynes for a breakfast meet is that there is absolutely nothing similar in my area.

It's good to read your recommendation. I've never been to either Haynes or the British Motor Museum, although I would like to go to both.

I love the Haynes museum well worth a visit for us petrol heads . It’s a long way for me also would have to fight that Stonehenge traffic on the A303 we do holiday that way in August so might take two cars down as I have always wanted to do this on my bucket list but as yet have not booked anything or spoke to the wife also having another back and leg operation so will do my best .
I want to do the 6th May CCI meet again as it’s just us Capri folk ...

Will be watching post with interest .

CCI is same day as Simply Ford, although maybe not as popular this year.

Check your passport is up to date before coming too far into the South West.....

Got a lot on this year but would like to go, especially if forum guys are up for it. Plan on going to CCI ( actually in my Capri this year ) so May is out but I'll check shifts etc, looks a good meet.

I'll be up for that assuming it doesn't clash with anything else!

Think I'm ok for June & July, if August is the best for everyone, I'll look for a shift swap. Should be good.
