Battlesbridge Classic Ford Show / Autojumble - Sunday 13th August 2017

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

Hi all,

This really is a stunning show and its well worth a visit if you have not been before :)

I am meeting up with John (taff50ish) on Sunday morning at South Mimms to drive to the show. We have not actually booked our cars in to display at the show so will be parking up in the general parking ( in a field ).This really is up there with the better Classic Ford Shows and is in a lovely setting at the Battlesbridge Antiques Centre / Motorcycle Museum. As title its rammed with stunning Classic Fords and there is a great autojumble too. If anyone else from here is going it would be great to hear from you, especially if you are displaying so we can pop over and say hello.

For those who do not know the address is :

Battlesbridge Antiques Centre / Motorcycle Museum
Muggeridge Farm
Maltings Road
Battlesbridge
Essex SS11 7RF

Weather is going to be cracking too so it should be a really great day out.

All the best now

Nick

Is it because Nick's navigating the way there, and they weren't sure if they'd get there on time.......

Have a great day chaps! Judging by the photos from previous years, this is definitely one of the best shows in the country.

Andrew.

Andy, yep suppose it would have been nice to display but as me and John pretty much let this show creep up on us its too late to book in to display now. I had a look at the show organisers during the week and you had to book in 28 days before the show itself and as its a very popular show they do not let anyone display on the day as some other shows do if you arrive early enough, but it will still be a very enjoyable day as I will be driving the Capri in convoy with John, and suppose it leaves us a bit more flexible as to what time we arrive/leave but we definately intend to spend a while at this one as it really is an excellent show indeed mate :)

Andrew, yep we should have a cracking day at this one mate. As you rightly said it is up there with the best :)

All the best chaps

Hi Nick,
I always make a note of the dates a few months in advance, and put deadlines down when I organise the XR shows.....
:agree: they creep up on you and can easily miss them

As you say you won't pay more than the exhibitors :spank: Have a good one and post some pics :)

Yep will do mate. Cheers :)

It came as a shock to John last week at The Ace when it dawned on him Battlesbridge was this weekend. I am lucky to have Sun off work and the wife is working so she is letting me out to play 'classic cars' with John

Looking forward to this one again, so far this one has always been one of the best Classic Ford shows and a stunning setting too. Any idea what time we should meet up at South Mimms??? Any one else want to meet up for the drive over??? Cheers for now, all the best,
