Hi all,

Had a brilliant day at The Ace Cafe spent in superb company. The day started off quite funny as after Tom popped over to me we stopped at my local petrol station to top up. Just as I was going to start filling up a police van pulls up...two coppers get out and the big Broad officer comes over and says "how the bloody hell do you keep your Capri so clean" Spent about 10mins showing them round B112 and engine bay and he asked me if he could take some photos. Had a really good chat. Caused a bit of interest from other people too, especially when Tom pulled around and parked up behind me...  We got some attention Tom

Spent the whole afternoon chatting to prople from the forum and from Facebook so very sorry but did not really take many pictures this year. But I did make sure I got the forum convoy first thing...

One, yours truely

Was having a great chat with Danny and his dad re his plans for his three Capris. Especially what he has planned for the 3.0S.Good luck mate and really looking forward to seeing how this comes along. I never even thought to take proper pics of both his Capris... sorry mate... But here is one I did take of his made to order S/S Exhaust manifold :)

Also was brilliant to see Paul ( Paul G) too. Had a really decent chat and catch up with him and really great to hear the progress he has made with both his Capris. Hope to see the Laser soon Paul :)

So as said sorry did not take many pictures this year as I was having too much of a good time chatting to everyone. Just want to thank Kris and Co for organising this again this year especially as I know how busy they have been with Brooklands.

Today really was about the prople and their cars and the great company from the forum guys here.....and the Pinto Breakfast was just stunning. John being the proud owner of a 2.8i Special ordered the........ Special breakfast

All the best

Nick

Ps Sorry some of the pics are not the best angles this time but hope you get the gist how great this day was

Nice pics Nick :applaud: Looks like it was a good day!

Glad the Rozzers approved of your car too. Your wheels look great, might have to put a set of those on my Xmas/Birthday list one year as a present to myself :D

Hi Nick,
Great photos, as always! All the forum cars look absolutely stunning.
It's good to hear that the weather was kind to you all, I couldn't bear the thought of you and Jason driving in the rain again! :)

It's great to see that there was a decent turnout at the Ace Café, I mean the Pinto Café, as there was concern that some people weren't bothering due to the close proximity of the Brooklands event. There looks to be plenty of cars there.

Glad you all had a great day!

Andrew.

Thanks Andrew. Numbers at The Ace were not as high as last year but still a good turnout and some lovely Capris... and it stayed dry.!!!

Yes quite a few meets close together but I always put Brooklands as the big one for me and the 'must get to' one. Always great to meet up with friends from here. Cracking company and some really good chats. Prob because it was a tad quieter it was easier to meet people from fb I had not seen before so really enjoyed it. Jason was up to no good again by sneaking his' PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH' sign onto B112 when I was not looking. Bet other people thought who's the knobhead with the do not touch sign   :x

Just a couple more pics. Don't get to see many pics of forum Capris in convoy. These are cracking pics of three of us. Chap on fb tucked in behind me, Jeff and Tom. Jason and John were just behind. Great photos. Dont get to see many 'on the road pics' . Guy was really nice. Came up to me in The Ace and took my email to send them to me. I can see my new furl tank

Thanks Rob. Wish I had taken some pics of the other Capris at The Ace but for once was too busy chatting all day but that's what these days are about, meeting old and new friends and chatting a nd laughs. If anyone loads up more on fb I will copy and post here. Thanks again Rob

Tbh, I think they look great on most Capris.

Would need to sell my 7 spokes first as don't want those and the Pepperpots taking up room in the garage, and that would help to fund the RS4's.
I would keep the tyres to put on the new wheels :)
