Weston Super Mare 2019 - The Capris
Here are some photos of the stunning Capris that were at the show in Weston Super Mare this Easter Sunday.
The best handling Capri there....
All in all, not a bad turn out, I'd say.
Andrew.

Thanks John. I hope the bags of cement made you laugh, they certainly put a smile on my face! A nice little touch...Taff50ish wrote: cheers as ever for sharing them, all the very best for now, cheers,

Yes, terrific weather, about 23 -24 degrees and not a drop of the wet stuff all day!
Yes, I met up with some others at McDonalds first. There were some other groups meeting there too at the same time, so there were some other classic Fords and some Focus RS too.
No problem, thanks!Pas28i wrote:Great turn out and great pics, thanks for sharing.

There were 11 mark 2s of all descriptions, that's more than usually go to the CCI Nationals!
Thanks Jason!Jasonmarie wrote:Looks like you had amazing day also great pictures as always number one club photographer.I Do have a soft spot for that 1.6 JPS in white . Also as John said good spot the cement in the boot
I see you spotted the white Vauxhall Viva in my photos.... That's a very nice car.
Andrew.

Yes, it was a great day for all Capri mark 2 spotting, and I couldn't have wished for better weather.

Very nice Andrew and as mentioned an impressive turnout of the MKII which was my first Capri - a very long time ago!Andrew 2.8i wrote:Thanks Rob!Caprifan Rob wrote:Brilliant pictures Andrew, never seen so many mk2’s ! Looked a great day out, thanks for sharing.

Re: Weston Super Mare 2019 - The Capris
It was great to be a part of such a big line up of fantastic Capri's.
The convoy from McDonalds was great, although i struggled to keep up. I may have "the best handling Capri" but with the 1600, it's got to be the slowest
it was also great to be met by Adam who recognized Grandads Capri from 14 years ago!
really looking forward to the summer shows now...
Cheers Andy

I met Adam Langley a couple of years ago at a local show, he had a Green 3.0S X Pack A nice guy too.
Back to the usual rain here today and forecast most of the week/weekend, so that will be 2 local shows I won't be attending

Thank you, Peter. Now you own a 2.8...the zenith of Capri ownership!Peter-S wrote:Very nice Andrew and as mentioned an impressive turnout of the MKII which was my first Capri - a very long time ago!
Yes, wasn't it! Last year had a great turn out of Capris, but this year was even better. I think the weather helped a lot! Yours is a stunning looking car, really great condition.Goz wrote:It was great to be a part of such a big line up of fantastic Capri's.
I assumed that the bags of cement were some kind of ironic statement for the benefit of lesser informed show visitors, or were you just on your way home from B & Q or something?Goz wrote: I may have "the best handling Capri" but with the 1600, it's got to be the slowest

Thanks for your comments Andrew,
The cement bags are really just filled with bubble wrap, for effect only (shush, don’t tell anyone). It’s amazing how many “experts” have told me I need these. And I think I’ve caused a bit of a stir on Facebook too!
