Haynes Breakfast Meet September 2018 (Ford)
Morning All!
As some of you will be aware, a few of us forum members recently met up to go to the Haynes museum breakfast meet in Somerset. Andy's great organisation skills ensured that we parked in prime positions in the car park at the front of the museum......but it also meant an early start. Here are the forum cars and a few other great Fords (Orion out of shot) meeting at Podimore services ready for a convoy to the museum.

There were so many incredible cars at the meet, so I've split the photos up into Fords and non-Fords. Where better place to start than the Fords?

I was pleased to be able to help, in a small way, the owner of this Escort. His son had managed to lock the car with the keys still in the ignition, but luckily, I was able to use my key to open the car. That's 80s Ford security for you!
The moral of the story is that it is dead easy to get into old Fords, so make sure you use additional security products when you park or store your prized possession.

Hi Andrew. Well worth waiting for these excellent pictures. A good reminder of a brilliant morning out. Great to meet up with Andy & the XR club members & seeing their well presented cars. Will definitely make the effort again next year. My wife enjoyed seeing the cars & what it was we all get excited about seeing all the diverse vehicles on a day like this. Cheers Andy for the invite & organising the rendezvous en-route. Really enjoyed the drive also & thanks again for letting us play follow the leader behind your stunning 2.8 there and back
All the best,
Rob

thanks and I couldn't agree more about the XR cars.
It was good to meet Mrs Caprifan. It was nice that she wanted to see the cars we get excited about. She probably rolled her eyes and thought "boys will be boys....."Caprifan Rob wrote: My wife enjoyed seeing the cars & what it was we all get excited about

A fine selection of photos Andrew. That Corsair convertible must be rare; Crayford? The Capri's look superb but good to see a Fiesta, Orion and Sierra's too.

Thanks for you rcomments.
Yes, I'm pretty sure that the Corsair was a Crayford. I'm not sure how many they converted, but I doubt that it would have been any more than a couple of hundred at most.
Andrew.
