July Queen Square Old Down Country park meet
Went with my youngest to the 'QS' meet today at a different venue again. Haven't been since they started moving it around but wasn't disappointed. Should have taken the Capri but took his BRZ as he wanted to enjoy it in another show as he's getting a company car soon & is going to sell it on.
The meet was in a great setting & the weather excellent. As usual, a good cross section of everything, typical of the QS meets.
Starting with this great row of Capri's
Rs1600i Escorts
Escort Cosworths
Mk1 Cortina & Anglia
Mustangs
A large amount of classics also in attendance
And plenty of modern & sports stuff too
Enjoyed the venue & the weather, here's to some more sunny events

Hi Rob,
Looks like it was a good morning out, thanks for uploading the photos. There is a great variety of both classic and modern cars and the weather couldn't have been any better.
I haven't seen a new NSX yet so I would have loved to have seen that.
Love the Capris, as ever, and the 131.
Did you have to pay to get in?
Andrew.

Cheers Andrew, great day out. Yes had to pay £3 entry as it was in a stately home grounds & was open to the public. So no big deal & to be honest I'd happily pay it again as we thought the venue was excellent with plenty of mobile catering plus public toilets etc.Andrew 2.8i wrote: Love the Capris, as ever, and the 131.

Hi Rob,
Cory's Subaru looks great, by the way, the colour really comes alive in the bright sunshine.
Out of interest, I notice that he's changed his registration plate. What's the significance of the UUR bit? The letters in his old Mini plate were also UUR and I'm thinking that is more than a coincidence.....
The next meet is going to be held even further away at Bowood House.
Cheers,
Andrew.

Nothing gets past you does it . The Mini was his first car & came with UUR on the plate. He was just matching the plates up .Andrew 2.8i wrote:What's the significance of the UUR bit? The letters in his old Mini plate were also UUR and I'm thinking that is more than a coincidence.....

Now that the Mini has gone he's on about letting it go with the car. The jammy sod has got a new Fiesta ST3 company car coming in September. Alright for some ..

Absolutely no problem AndrewAndrew 2.8i wrote: Thanks for the explanation Rob. Sorry, I can't help being nosey.....
Incidentally, the blue BMW E30 (in the background behind Corey's) parked up & the full exhaust just fell off onto the grass! Didn't think the road in was that bumpy, the joys of classic motoring..
