Queen Square March 2018.
Hi,
I hope everybody is well and looking forward to the fast approaching show season.
Luckily, the QS meet goes on throughout the year in all weathers. The standard and variety of cars never ceases to amaze, even in the winter months. Sadly, however, despite very good weather the March attendance was down on what could reasonably be expected. That was either because it fell on Mothering Sunday, or because people are scared off because the parking wardens are now extremely heavy handed.
Here are some of my highlights.
Where better to start than with the Fords?
A beautiful Special.

Re: Queen Square March 2018.
Some nice cars as usual Andrew, as you say the black Special looks great especially with those 15" wheels and custom exhausts.
The RS 1600i also looks great too (I do like those).
Some nice V8's too.
My neighbour has an RV8, it sounds great on the odd occasion he starts it.
A mate has the MG ZT260 4.6 V8, and he assures me I can take it for a spin sometime

Hi Andy,andyd wrote:Some nice V8's too.
You can't beat the sound of a good V8 reverberating around the square to blast away those winter blues!
The ZT is under appreciated as a Q car. It's the Mustang engine in those, isn't it?

Yet again some brilliant pictures Andrew. That first special in black looks so good on those 15's that I think in time I'll probably go the same way with mine. A great variety of cars as usual, that bubble arched red mk1 escort looks good & I like the American stuff too. The red E-type looks amazing as well, can't wait to make it over to Bristol again.

Thanks Rob.Caprifan Rob wrote:Yet again some brilliant pictures Andrew.
I think that any 2.8 looks right on 15" 7 spokes, even if they weren't fitted to that model as standard. They might be the way to go in the future, especially when the cost and availability of tyres is taken into account. However, it will be very hard to tear myself away from having pepperpots.......Caprifan Rob wrote: That first special in black looks so good on those 15's that I think in time I'll probably go the same way with mine.

True, apologies! I google-d 15" pepperpots and this was the top link but I couldn't open it at work unless between 12-2pm so just had a look...
