Queen Square June 2017

Post by Andrew 2.8i »

Hi Everyone,
Last Sunday was the second Sunday of the month, and you all know what that means...... :D
Sadly, I decided against taking the Capri as it was pouring down at home, although the weather in Bristol turned out to be not bad at all.
Anyway, enough chit chat, here are some photos.

Those gorgeous wheels we all love.....

No problem. A shame you couldn't make it due to, er....., other commitments, but hopefully I'll see you there in September.

Hi Andrew,

Yet again a fantastic array of great classics from Queen Square. Some mighty cars there. Great to see Danny becoming a regular down there. Jeepers at this rate he will be talking in "Bristolian" next time we meet...hope I understand him

Brilliant shot of Dannys capri...its always a joy to see his Laser and those 7.5's. Nice one. Yep that Red Golf looks immaculate ! For a min when I seen it I thought Neil had turned up after a night of waxing....but sounds like waxing was the last thing on his mind

Love that White Golf too...looks anazing. Still have a big soft spot for Fiesta Mk 1's though...really love that shape. Even i am fetting to know the regulars. That gorgeous Anglia keeps making an appearance but i never get tired looking at it ! Anyway great selection of pics Andrew. Too many to pick and choose favourites. I really enjoyed looking through them all. Good of you to load them up for us to enjoy. Shame you could not get over in your 2.8i but 'rain stopped play' :)

All the best

Nick

I'm glad you enjoyed looking through the photos. Hopefully in the September report there will be a photo of a certain lacquer red beauty amongst the photos. Weather and Inspector Blakey permitting! :D

Couldn't make this one, but looking at your pictures, we missed a great meet. Been building a patio, it is an over-rated experience :(
Some great cars there, both old & new, never seen one of those Impala kit cars before, modelled on a milk float ? :)
Looking forward to the September meet, hoping for good weather & a good forum turnout.
Cheers for posting.

I've never seen the Impala before either, but judging by the smile on the driver's face, it must be a fun drive. Or is he just amazed that somebody actually wanted to take a photo of the thing?

Looking forward to September as well, will be good to get a lot of us down there!

Cheers

So far me, you, Andy, Rob and Neil have expressed an interest in going. Although 5 cars would be a great turnout, obviously anyone else who is interested in going is welcome to join us.

I've trying to convince my and to come along and hopefully bring his MR2 along, not quite Ford (he isn't as luck as the rest of us!) but I've not seen any MR2s there other than Andrew's so far!

Hi Danny,
That would be good, although he might take some persuading as he didn't seem very keen on the idea when I mentioned it to him....

True... But we were speaking in the car on the way back and decided if we had CB radios then he would be more keen! Also I still have 3months to wear him down yet

This afternoon I will be doing the final patch of welding on my Laser, then I've just got to prepare the right hand side for painting, bleed the brakes and change all the fluids, paint the bonnet and front valance, put the interior back together and take for its mot!

Hopefully I will be able to join Danny, Nick and co and bring it down for one of the meetings. It could even be a convoy of Lacquer red ones all the way down the M4!

Hi John,
I'm glad you enjoyed looking through the photos. I haven't seen the white Golf at QS before, and very nice it was too. That's what great about this meet, there is always a selection of different cars each and every month.
