Hi Andrew,
Great pics yet again, and a great variety of cars as usual and wet as usual
Nice to see them out in all weathers though.....Think I need to toughen up a bit regards rain
Love all the Mustangs, and that Corolla GT is getting really rare, as you say many turned into drift cars etc Quick cars back in the 80's with a 7000rpm redline iirc

Thanks. Yes, there's always cars for everyone's tastes at this meet.
Most of them aren't 80's Fords....we're better off keeping ours in the garage until the sun comes out to play. Hopefully we'll be able to drive them by August!andyd wrote:Nice to see them out in all weathers though.....Think I need to toughen up a bit regards rain

Hi Andrew, what an excellent set of pictures. Plenty of cars I hadn't seen before, which is great & refreshing to see. The meet just gets better. Got a thing for those 70's Celica's, would love one. Once again, a great meet. Cheers for posting.

Yes, good point. There was plenty of fresh metal, if you like, that I haven't seen before. That's what makes this show different. I can go to local shows and it's the same old Morris Minors and Triumph Stags that I've seen a million times before.Freelanderfan wrote: Plenty of cars I hadn't seen before, which is great & refreshing to see. The Celica was fantastic, the highlight of the meet for me. I also loved the black Alfa Sprint, both were cars I haven't seen before.
I'll probably take the Capri next month. Weather permitting, of course!
All the best,
Andrew.

The Celica sounds tasty, I'm quite keen on those, especially the GT-Four. I saw a superb one at a show last year.

Hey Andrew,
Blimey mate, what a great turnout this month. When I went with John and Danny last month there were hardly any there at all !
Seriously though what a brilliant array of lovely classics on what was a very wet Sunday morning. Great stuff !
Its very hard to pick favourites amongst this fine showing Andrew. Some stunning motors indeed. What a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
That Jag XJ6 looks lovely. Don't see so many of them around nowadays. Very nice ! Love the Escort too
Those Bond Bugs are great little things too. Got one that drives around my way with his music blaring....very funny !
Couple of great Capri's too fella. I still like seeing the Probe's too. Think they get a bit of a rough deal and the few that are left are credit to their owners. Loads more wonderful cars mate. The show season is well and truly upon us ! It wont be long before we see a certain stunning 2.8i emerging from its winter hibernation from a garage (with a sofa) in Wales......
Anyway mate thanks for the many pictures you posted up. Really enjoyed looking through them. Just goes to show its worth the effort to get to this meet nice and early
All the best mate

What a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
I can't argue with that! There were some really nice cars there this month, despite the wet start to the day.
As you say, the show season is now upon us and the classics are coming out to play at last!
It won't be long before my car leaves the sofa behind and comes out into the fresh air.
All the best,
Andrew.

His Celica is a nice little motor... Has the later mk7 Wheels on as they look much nicer in our opinion than the standard mk4 wheels as in your photo Andrew..

His MR2 isn't too shabby either but much nippier haha

Both the Toyotas look great, and it would be good to see either of them at QS.

I think the celica is still on sorn at the moment, has a few MOT issues that need sorting plus a busted power steering pump so is a real bitch to steer! The MR2 is used every few days so provided we get some walkie talkies I should be able to convince him to bring it alongAndrew 2.8i wrote:Hi Danny,D366Y wrote: I'll try and convince him to get one along to Queens Square at least!

Not sure if it will be next month but we will definitely be there!

Hi Andrew,
Great pics as ever, I was going to ask if that was a Celica next to the Vitesse, but you have already answered this for me, looks like it's drawn a bit of attention elsewhere too, not surprised, great find...
I hope to Convoy over again soon with Danny and maybe Nick behind the wheel too??? Also anyone else from the kinda West London and Home Counties there-a-bouts areas??? Cheers for sharing Andrew, all the best for now,
John....

Thanks. Yes, the Celica was next to the Vitesse, well spotted.
If you convoy over again, I hope you see more cars than last time! Sorry, couldn't resist the temptation to mention it one more time!
Andrew.

It would be great to catch up with you and finally see your completed Capri, but if it's not ready in time you could always come along anyway. Shifts permitting!
Andrew.
