Australian Mk1 Capri

Post by Rabcn »

Hi folks,
I'm new to the forum, now living in South Australia and I'm looking at buying the following vehicle, but was just wondering if anyone can help with identifying it any better?
It's a 1972 1600 Mk1, with low milage and two local owners from new.
The paint appears origonal(although fading in places) and I believe it's Wild Plum, but the GT lookalike stripes are confusing me?
The interior is black carpets with cream leather seats.
Vin and engine numbers are CK14MC2????A ( can't disclose its true I/D just yet, as I haven't got it safely in my garage)
The seller has a set of very nice conditioned RS 4 spokes, with nearly new tyres, that he is prepared to sell me on top, but although he has owned the car for nearly 15 years, it's been unregistered all that time.
From the research that I have managed on Google, I can only find one other of its colour, which is a GT model and also in South Australia.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Bob
P.S, can anyone tell me how to upload a picture please?

Hi,
To upload photos you need to sign up to a photo hosing site, such as Flickr or Photobucket.
Once you've done that, there is a tutorial here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=33174

"select all"?

You just need to select the code for the IMG tag, copy that and paste in to your message on here.
Needs to be done picture by picture.

Hi,
Personally, I'd forget Photobucket and use Flickr instead. I find it much more user friendly.
