Walton Bridge Breakfast Club, December, Last one of 2016....
Hi all,
Well, after getting up early today to get down to the Last one of these for this Year, unless they have a Christmas Gathering??? I had to get a Very Strong Scrapper out of the old Cappa Boot to get the Ice off. Possibly my own fault, having washed it last night, so as to be ready for this!!! Doh!!!
So, I set off down here and got there eventually for approx 9:20am, had aimed for 9am, so quite happy, but already there where a LOT there, so here goes with the Capri's 1st, all 3 of them!!! Mine 1st, now Winterized!!!

Hi John,
I hope you wrapped up warm and weren't wearing your trademark shorts. It looks freezing! Despite the cold, it seems like a great morning with some fantastic cars, and yours looks absolutely gorgeous as always.
All the best,
Andrew.

Hi John,
More photos, what a treat!
Fantastic turn out for such a cold (I think you mentioned that!) morning.
The Quattro is an ultra rare Sport Quattro, just 224 cars were built. What I'd do to own one of those............
All the best,
Andrew.

Hi John,
The black front end looks the biz. Personally, I prefer that look to the body-coloured parts and now you can swap them around as your mood takes you.

Hi John.
Fella thanks for the great photos mate. I really wished I could have joined you for this one. What a beautiful morning it was albeit cold indeed.
John as I told you yesterday your 2.8i Special looks simply superb with the black trim mate. Really sets off the front of your already stunning cappa Nice job mate and easy to return back to colour coded if you wanted. Its still hard to believe you keep it parked on the road throughout the year. Its a true credit to you how great it always looks...but you really should get something done about your steep drive..but you then might get picky about taking it out so we wont enjoy all these pics of it....
What a lovely collection of classics whose owners like yourself braved the frost and made the effort to go. Kris's 2.0 S looks fantastic. Kris if you are seeing this sorry to hear of your eye trouble... Get Well Soon fella
Loads of great cars there John. Crikey ! Those Americans really dont take prisoners. I thought that was your Dad !! Glad he made it with you and is wearing a hat this week
Anyhow thanks for taking the time to post all these John. Must have taken a while to load them ! Hope to catch up before christmas if we can
Cheers John

Great pics John. Thanks for those who have wished me a speedy recovery, I hadn't posted anything about it because I haven't had the chance. It's all about resting the eyes as much as poss, but I never miss Walton Bridge. I even went to my mums underground parking space & gave it a wipe down the evening before just to make it as nice as I can. I'll be back fighting fit in 2017!

Sorry, off track there, here are 2 stunning looking Fiesta's at the MotoGP Circuit Valencia.... Plus a Straight 6 Benelli, for the Bike fans???

Re: Walton Bridge Breakfast Club, December, Last one of 2016....
Hi John,
I did notice that the "Scimitar" isn't one. I was too polite to mention it!
Is that the obvious mistake you were thinking of?
A couple of observations....As you probably already know, due to their rarity and value, both the Porsche 911 RS and the Sport Quattro at Walton Bridge are recreations of the original. The Quattro in your photo is RHD, whereas all the genuine cars are LHD, and the Porsche is a 1998 car. That doesn't detract from what are two stunning cars though.
Nerd alert over......
Those two fiestas alone make the trip to Valencia worthwhile! Stunning
By the way, have you got any more photos of the Alpine A610/Renault GTA?
Andrew,
Was it actually a very warm day?Taff50ish wrote:Except, no one has pulled me up for the 'Obvious Mistake' yet!!!

I assumed that to be more of a humorous comment than a mistake. I might be wrong though.....Peter-S wrote:Is it that the 'soft top Scimitar' is another Jensen?
On second thoughts, the Jensen had been mentioned in your original post, so it does fit the clue given by John.
