Hi all,

As you might have seen from Kris's note, I did make it down here this Sat morning. It was a great gathering as ever and there was a shock in store too..   But that Pic will come later on, so for now, lets get on with the Ford Capri's....

Here is Kris's Cappa, fresh from all the hard work he has put in and it was getting a LOT of well deserved attention....

Great pics John as always. Couple of things I learnt at the meet:

The Mk2 Escort van is powered by a 1.8 Sierra diesel lump, sounds ridiculous, currently up for sale on Ebay.

The tall bloke standing next to me behind my car is the owner of the XR2, and he came bounding over when I entered in the car park as he claims he owned my car 20 years ago! He said it was on private plate & that after the plate was transferred this was it's new reg. I'd have loved to have believed him fully but he wasn't quite forthcoming with the actual info, didn't say where he used to live (because I know the car's geographical history) so forgive me for being sceptical. However he was excited regardless.

The Mk1 Capri is owned by a lady called Jayne & is absolutely fantastic as it is a South African car. 2.0 V4, and just looks great!

The Cortinas, Anglia, white Mustang, S2 RS Turbo and the blue Mondeo (not pictured) are part of RSFFE and we all came in convoy.

All in all a good morning. I'm making a video of my entire car weekend so expect that soon.

Hi Kris,
I'm not so keen on the Escort Van now..... :?

Phil (aka Twotall) always has a tale to tell :headscratch:

Hi John,
Great photos, as always. Keep 'em coming!
Why are you apologising for posting a photo of your car? If mine looked as good as yours does, I'd be posting photos of it all over this forum!
There are some great cars at this breakfast meet, and what a treat to see 5 DeLoreans together!
As Andy mentioned, the Escort van looks amazing, but the diesel power plant isn't for me.....

Thanks for uploading the photos, I really enjoyed browsing through them.

All the best,
Andrew.

Hi John.

Great pictures mate ! Some amazing Fords there.

Kris' 2.0S looks superb...keep saying it but I love that colour and as you said his hard work over the last year really is a credit to him with the results he has achieved...oh yes its a Pinto too :)

I always love seeing your stunning 2.8i Special on your photo threads fella. As Andrew said never apologise for making us :D every time we see it. And what a brilliant picture/setting with that gorgeous Escort Van. Wonderful photo of two very different stunning Fords....

John...with all these Fords you are really spoiling us :)

FIVE DeLoreans too... :o .....superb !!

But I have to say I really really like that Morris Minor...bet it stirs up a load of attention when it turns up at thier meets....."rocks the house" comes to mind  It looks well cool !

Anyhow John thanks for the pictures again. Nice one mate !

All the best

Nick

What a great mix of cars from our shores and across the pond, a rarity seeing one Deloren but seeing 5 together must have been quite the spectacle!!
