Major work and £££'s for the new owner
Hi Andy,
:agree: It doesn't look like an easy project.

The description states "this will be a project for a rail enthusiast"
I can't see why trainspotters would be interested in it!

Andrew.
:D I didn't notice that bit.
Maybe one of those cars to stay well away from? Wrong interior too..... :goodluck:

The listing has ended on the cobalt blue car now. Has it sold?

The black car is located in Pembrokeshire. I won't bother popping along to have a look!

Hi John,
I don't usually need much persuasion to go for a spin!
I bet you're making the most of this weather too! Have you been to any shows this weekend?

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately not. I've still got my folks visiting and we've left my Mum to fend for herself the last 2 Week Ends, so though time to play fair and stay in. So both myself and my Dad went shooting Sat morning and back for Noon, so we're happy and so is Mum. Only slight down side is, I've now spent most of today in the Garage, rubbing down, priming, rubbing down, painting, rubbing down and painting the front bumper. I need to make sure the finish is hard before I take it out to the Car to re-fit it, as next door still have shit loads of Building dust flying about the place!!!

Roll on next Week End. Definitely out and about on a Show Hunt....   Actually, Passion Ford night at the Ace Cafe, Sat night... (21st May.) Sounds like a plan..... Might be just a bit too far for you though Andrew, sorry... But would be great to see you there, anyone else too, Capri take over??? Well, must take the Folks out now for a Nice Fish N Chip late Lunch.... Mmmmmm. Cheers....

John.....

Hi John,
Sounds great........but at 230 miles and 4 hours each way, I might just have to leave you to it!
Hopefully we can look forward to some pics? :D
Next weekend I'm off to a show in Cardiff, so I'll have some photos to post too.

Great pics, thanks for putting them up. So hard to pick a fave out of so many Capri's, but I have a soft spot for the red (with black vinyl roof) 1.6L Nice that.

Hi,
Thank you, I hope you enjoyed looking through the photos. The red 1.6L was indeed a very nice car indeed.
The National is a great day out for Capri lovers, you should try to get along one year.

All the best,
Andrew.

Stunning photos Andrew, I've only been to The Nationals once but absolutely loved it, seems like a natural home for a Capri show :-)

Hi,
Thanks, I'm pleased you enjoyed looking through the photos.
The National is a great show, it's probably still the biggest annual gathering of Capris.

Hi,
I like your new signature banner!
Apollo green is a fantastic, and rare, colour for a Capri. Have you posted any photos on the forum of your car yet? I'd love to see it in all it's glory!

Hi Andrew,

Sincere thanks for the kind words! Unashamedly and wholeheartedly copied from your signature!!! I thought that looks great, I'll have a bash at that myself!! :-) I agree Apollo really is a stunning colour and as you say really rare - have hardly seen any Capris in it, I believe it was only available in 79. I haven't got around to posting any pictures as yet but leave that with me and I'll attend to that very soon!!!! I have had a look at the photos of your Injection and it's stunning and a real credit to you!!!

Hi,
I've seen this one that attends the Bristol meets regularly, and I think it looks absolutely superb.

That's very kind of you to say so, thank you very much. For saying that, I'll forgive you for unashamedly and wholeheartedly copying my signature photo idea!

If you haven't already done so, read this thread on how to post photos on the forum. The only thing I will add is that it's much quicker and easier to use Flickr instead of Photobucket.

That does indeed look superb, many thanks for the photos Andrew :-) Yes indeed your 2.8 is the dogs dangles in a beautiful colour too. Haha I'm glad I'm forgiven for the signature steal, phew :-) Thanks for that, i have always used Photobucket before on Forums but tend to find they disappear, ill need to look into Flickr, i have an account but have not used it in years, food for thought ill look into it. I actually have lots of photos of the car ready to post, but all taken at my house and kind of thinking these days cant be too careful so think ill wait until its next out and take it somewhere abstract for photos so it cant be tied to the house etc: with all these Capris going walkabout id not want to open my garage door one day for it not to be there!! :-) Bit OTT perhaps but still.
