Hi All,

I only saw this mentioned last night, (Sat night just before the event.) So sorry I never got back to anyone. So anyway, I went along to this to have a Look Around, think I'm suffering from 'End of Show Season Blues', to be honest...

So, I met up with Kris down there, had a Great Chat / Catch up with him, Great to see you again Kris... Was hoping to see Mark & Neil, but I guess the Wind etc would put most off, I did have it brought back to me in no uncertain terms, how much of a 'Side Wind Sail', the Capri was, well, is!!! :drive:

Well, I missed the 'Free Breakfast for Capri Drivers' this time, but had a few nice Coffee's instead, then out for a wander round, so here goes, not many Pic's taken I'll admit, but a very nice little selection I hope you agree???

I'm afraid this is the closest I got to snapping a Capri.... Ops!!! Sorry all.....
Image20151115_115449 by John Taylor, on Flickr

But from the BEST Side, as I'm sure Kris will agree???

Something a little bit different here, a Track Prep'd Golf GTI MKI.... Ummmmmmm!!!

For Sale too....

This Viva was STUNNING!!!! I did say, not many Fords didn't I??? Well, I missed a few Pic opportunities...

Well, that was my morning, while I'm sure some of you where Wrapped up nice and Toasty under your Duvets.... Looks like this could be the last of the Season, unless anyone knows of any more meets anywhere???

I was chatting with one of Kris's friends, who had a nice Mitsubishi Evo V, which was very nearly a 'Donor Car' for a 'Ford KA' project he's working on!!! But he decided to keep this and get the parts else where, but I'm still stuck on putting all this running gear and ENGINE in a Ford KA!!! But by all accounts, in the current guise, it can already spank the Arse off a Scooby!!! I Can't Wait to see this once finished, September next Year is the estimated finish date!!! So be warned!!! Well, all for now, hope to catch up again soon, Cheers,

John...

Hi John,
Thanks for making the effort looked bloody cold to me.....?
Some nice cars, I like the Hunter too don't see many nowadays.

The KA sounds interesting :D IIRC Scooby drivers don't like being whooped

Roll on April lets get back out there again :D

Hi John,
Looks like you had a great morning. Just the ticket to get your fill of car shows during these gloomy winter days.

That KA project sounds absolutely mental!
Great photos, thanks for posting them, but there isn't one of a certain lacquer red beauty. What's going on? :D

Hope to see you around at a show or two next year (weather permitting :D )

All the best,
Andrew.

Nice one John.

Thanks for the pics mate. Shame I could not make this one but as you said about people being tucked up under their duvets I was probably only getting under mine by the time you you getting ready

Fella that Viva did look stunning indeed. Shame the meets are drying up a bit now but only to be expected now the winter is slowly making itself known to us :(

Kris's front corner of his 2.0S looked stunning by the way. His front bumper capping looks great

All the best John

Sorry I didn't make this meet John..... I took one look out of the window this morning and choose to get back into bed :sleepy:

Thanks for posting the pictures. I love the shape of those Viva HB's. A friend of mine has got one and I keep pestering him to sell it to me. He has just bought a brand new Viva, so perhaps he's ready to move the old HB on now :D

Today was probably the last chance to get out to one of these meets this year...... Roll on the spring in 2016!

All the best

Still not sure about four doors?

Hi All,
Thought I'd point out that the Australian 4 door is for sale.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-ESCORT-M ... SwZ1lWgYJv

Compared to what a genuine UK car would sell for, it seems like good value for money, in my opinion.

Hi Neil,
I suppose it's very expensive when compared to other 4 door escorts.

The Anglias look great! A friend of mine restored and modified one in Alan Mann colours and put a. Zetec in it! Incredible!
