Well that's the lot. Like I said just a few more to add. Hope you liked
Now, back to the Escort XR in the first few pics. Those of you with sharp eyes may have noticed the boot badge on this..."XRt". Had to do a quick bit of investigation on this XRt model. Found this thread on passion ford.
http://passionford.com/forum/general-ca ... t-xrt.html
Seems like its not a legitimate Ford production line model but more of a Dealership Special ? Anyone with any more information would be appreciated. Andy, do you have any owners of these in the XROC down your way ?
All the best
Nick

Thanks for your reply fella. If this is a new one to you of all people then the mystery continues mate...I did also wonder whether the "t" was turbo too Andy, but if you have a turbo why be shy about it with an abbreviated "t"...I would want "turbo" proudly displayed on the boot nice and clear and straight to the point
Maybe there is some truth in it being a Ford Dealership "Special" like what that chap on passionford has said
Anyhow that aside it was still a lovely motor indeed.
All the best
Nick

I think that the truth is much simpler. The engine looks like a CVH turbo out of the RS turbo to me. I used the following site as a resource.
http://www.escort-mk4.de/modellegb.html
From there I have, er, borrowed this photo.
In short, I think it's an XR3i that the owner has either added a turbo to, or transplanted the engine for a turbocharged one from the RS turbo, and added his own badges. The car looks too modified to able to tell what would have been original and what has been added.
Lovely condition car though.
Thanks for adding all these extra excellent photos. You've confirmed that this is a must-attend show for next year.
All the best,
Andrew.

Hi chaps.
Thanks for your replies.
Andrew as ever I don't doubt you mate. Very plausible explanation. Thanks for your comments and for looking into it further
Andy it will be interesting to see if any of your XROC mates know of this exact escort. It might be "known on the circuit" as they say so I will keep an eye out for any replies regarding this. Thanks for taking the time to post it up on the XR Forum. Nice one.
All the best chaps

No word from the XR forum yet.....
If what the poster on Passion Ford says is correct and the car is a dealer special, unlikely in my opinion by the way, surely there would be more information about the car in the vast expanse of the internet. I've searched on Google and at the moment, it's only this one chap who has ever heard of such a car, and then he only seems to have a vague recollection. My money is on B2YSY being a home-brew special.
All the best,
Andrew.

I was very surprised when I googled it and expecting to find a whole load of information on it, only found this one passionford thread. So I reckon you are dead right what you say mate. Andy also reckoned the "t" could just be for "turbo" which makes a whole heap of sense too if its a "home-brew special"
All the best

Hi Neil, sheff wrote:The paintwork on this car was like glass even the black bits! Truly stunning.l
Stunning indeed. I wonder what product he uses?
He's managed to make the black spoiler look like new.

I'm certain it has been painted same as the Bumper Ends and Front Spoiler hence the Shine

Re: A few more from Uxbridge Autoshow
