Simply Ford 2015

Post by sheff »

Hi All,
Had a great day at Beaulieu today. The weather turned out good in the end, but it was a bit of a wet start to the day and all the hard work put in yesterday was undone when travelling along the gravel roads in the grounds of Beaulieu House :banghead:

Good to catch up with the members on here and I'll definitely be going again next year :D

So here's the photo's I took. And there's loads so I might add some comments later.

Hi Neil,
It looks as though you had a fantastic day out. I'm gutted that I didn't go, but I've only got myself to blame!

Lots of great Fords of various ages, all prepared to a high standard, and in a fabulous setting as well.
The poor weather in the morning didn't seem to put many people off from going. How many cars were on display?

Thanks for uploading the first batch of photos, so I can see what I missed out on! :)

All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
It was a good turn out, must have been approx 500 cars :? but I might be wrong. I was surprised how many people turned up considering the weather.

You definitely need to get along next year weather permitting or jump in the MR2 just to have a look around.
When you see the state of my car it will justify why you didn't go! But a quick wash and a drive around the block has sorted that out.

All the best
Neil

Hi Neil,
Fingers crossed for a bit of sunshine next year! :D

500 ish cars is an incredible turn out.
I bet the stunning Capris from this forum still attracted a lot of attention though.

All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Guys,
Great turn out today thanks for coming although the weather was poor to begin with.

Hope you all had a good day as I did along with the XROC, our Stand was very impressive with the Surrey Club alongside....

Well, a pretty horrible drive down through torrential rain at times but we left it behind for a largely dry day. The furthest the 2.8 has been since Brooklands last year. Good to meet a few guys off here for what was a pretty enjoyable day out. Here's a start on pics. I took loads so I'll do mainly Capris.

Cheers Nick,

188 photo's :o You had a busy day. Get some or all posted this will act as a good reminder of what a great day we had.

Nice to meet you today. Sorry I didn't spend as much time as I'd have liked with you, but unfortunately there was a lot of distractions around :D

Looking forward to the next time we get together

Nice photos of the day guys, weather wasn't so great at be start of the day but brightened up by the afternoon.

I think I may have arrived slightly too early given the weather at 7.30am and there was prectically no que to get it by then!

Also thanks for getting a shot of my red 1.6 (now a 2.0) 'L' with the mk2 grill and bumpers Peter!! Not exactly a show stopping car but proud to have it on display nonetheless!

Hope you all had a good day despite the weather.

Great photo's Peter, John and Nick. Thanks for adding them, hopefully the weather will be better next year and we'll see a few new ones.
Hopefully anyone who couldn't make the show this year or is thinking about coming next year will be encouraged to come along in 2016. I know I will be there next year try keeping me away
Great meeting up with Nick, Andy, John, Toby with his lovely other half for the first time and Mark for the second time. Hopefully we'll catch up at a few more events during 2015. Next up for me will be the Jolly Farmer meet later this month, then I need to get over to Bristol at some point to meet Andrew and his 2.8 :D
