So, my cars had a few little rust spots that have bugged me for years.
Well, finally saved up the pennies to get it done. Well, actually sold my Sierra to fund it but there you go!
Here’s a couple of pictures of work in progress.

Looks like it's going to be a good quality job there Steve, and your stunning Capri is definitely worthy of having the best treatment.

Andrew.

I’ve left it in marios capable hands. Hid bodywork guru is handling the paint etc. Before the man himself works his magic again.

Ahh Steve, Nice one mate !! Some excellent work going on their. :applaud:

Shame you had to sell the Sierra but by the time Mario and his bodywork guy have done their stuff your paintwork is gonna be even more stunning than ever. That Mario is a proper magician aint he. Everything he seems to touch turns to Gold...or in your case Lacquer Red :)

Really looking forward to seeing it at Deal..and you too of course :)

Bit of an update. Finally getting painted the right colour after the suppliers had cocked it up twice! First to dark then second time, more red than lacquer red! Bit frustrating but hopefully getting there. Will post pictures once I get them.

Very nice, very nice indeed, lovely shine as Jason has said.

I am curious though - are you going to chance waxing your car again, running the risk of what happened before, or prefer to forget that as not worth the risk and just keep it clean/polished instead.

It’s still down Mario’s at the moment. I don’t think it’s been polished yet! Going to be ceramic coated again once stripes back on. Hopefully pick it up next weekend.

Wow Steve. Looks proper stunning mate. Still amazed by what Mario achieved after all your troubles. Best money you spent I would guess. Looking forward to seeing the reflection of B112 in your immaculate and very shiny paintwork at Deal Steve. :D !!!? You will deffo have the shiniest car there fella. Let's hope the Deal rain stays away this year. Oh, I hope I don't catch Jason's reflection sitting in his chair with his batman outfit on

Finally got time to go round the mother in laws garage to give my car a good tinkering.
Changed the oil, fuel filter ( what a git. Lining the pipes up again was a mare), checked it all over, tightened up some jubilee clips that I thought needed doing, checked over marios awesome work then went for a spin.
Thoroughly enjoyed that!
