Yes they are from burtons but I got them new from eBay was about £25 cheaper As somebody was selling who never fitted them . I did have this on my list but thought I would treat my self . Told the wife it was only a few pounds .....

I have been reading your story and the paint job you had done as I thought that's mercury grey . Also will just say yes looks the bees knees now with the pin stripes . So yes will try and get round to fitting them it is the daughters summer fair this Saturday so perhaps next weekend but will post up the pictures .
And yes that nick has got a lot to answer for .
So did you say the paint job was just a stone chip to the wife .

Great buy fella !
These lens really do transform the Capri a treat. Gives a much more 'modern' look to the front end in my humble opinion
I really like these little tweaks that add a 'fresher' look to the Capri without taking anything away from it, if this makes sense ! I would go so far as to say they actually give the front end a better look than the original but this is only my opinion and totally respect why some might not share this view. I personally am always looking out to enhance the look with little tweaks like this so watch this space

Re: I have new bits ......
So might be a hold on fixings the new lights , I can't get the screws out and with my back and legs I would not risk going in to hard so I will have to soak in wd40 and get my son to have a go I would heat up but that's plastic and would melt .
Not going to be a 5 min job so will leave for a rainy day .

On my shopping list too.. They are a very nice subtle (easily reversible) simple mod that compliments most colour Cappa's

Re: I have new bits ......
So as I have a bad back & pair of legs that do not work my Son had a go with fitting the lights what should be a easy job .
So screws all come out with ease had them soaking in wd40 .
Then this is where we are stuck we can not turn the bulb holder Iam guessing that they come out clock wise I don't know if to spray like a silicon spray to help ? Also we could not get the light out under the bumper so does that need to be removed ? But that might be because we still had the light attach to the bulb holder so could not turn .
I think the light plug is in to a Male Female like connected behind the grill so might remove from there to get the whole thing out .
Might sound stupid but I was alway told that you should not false things apart as that it should be easy to undo . Also if we do go made we could break the bulb holder and I bet you can not pop to the shops and get one of them .
So this is still on going and it's only a 5min job . I will return soon with pictures of the finished job .
Edit ......
They are done and on the car and I must say it looks the dogs boll""ks . So what was wrong the old lenses had a metal clip on them that was to large took them of and " hey presto " yes there is one way in and one way out with the lights but once you have done one the second one is a 5 min Job .
I am very old fashion and like to keep things as they were made I repair clocks and pocket watches so you can't make a new part fit a old clock . But I must say with the Crome affect bulbs and clear lenses it lifts the face of the car . I will get some pictures up as soon as the sun is shinning and my back and legs start working again . But as normal I thank this great little Forum for the help and also that devil nick who keeps on coming up with some very good ideas.

Clear indicator lenses are one of the best "easy" mods you can do to liven up the front end of a Capri.
What bulbs did you get though, as I think mine aren't bright enough.

Re: I have new bits ......
Sorry been a busy bee today but took some quick pictures of why I could not remove the lights
Iam guessing when the car had a full body restro in 2013 the guy must have broke the lights and did this quick fix , I think it worked ok and give him creadit because it worked and you could not tell .
I here is a really quick shot as it's the best I can do at the moment as we have family over and all the cars are squeeze in the drive .
When I get the car out for a run I will get some better pictures .
Edit
Also that black thing hanging down in the left of the shot is a bag strap as when I looked I thought what is that hanging from the car almost looks like the bag is not there . Might send it off to " bag caught on tape"
