Hi 3 Litre,
Thanks for your info fella. I remember reading a previous thread you did on oils which was very informative indeed. Defo sounds like Valvoline is s good choice for my Pinto, but would expect nothing less from a recommendation from Dave (Smoke Em)
Thanks again
Nick

That is a very clean engine under the rocker cover! That is a good indication that it has been well maintained over the years a credit to you and the previous owners
Out of interest, do you know if it is the original engine?
All the best

Thanks Danny. Much appreciated ! Just another little job I can tick off the list mate. I really enjoy these jobs especially when you can see it as only being a good thing for the Pinto. I had been meaning to try Valvoline Racing 20/50 for a while since Dave recommended it to me. Does seem very good oil indeed. I thought that the oil spray bar was worth doing as B112 still had the original one from when I bought it 10yrs ago. Don't know how long it had been fitted before then. Was prob ok and I know they can be cleaned and reused but as its such an easy job it just made sense to fit a new one alongside changing the oil grade to 20/50.
All the best fella,
Nick
