Two stage correction and final coat of ceramic and she's finally ready to return for the last of the rebuild and we should be able to hear the engine running soon. Decided to coat the engine bay too as well as carpets door cards cleaned and sorted, I'm very pleased with the reasuls as I shows Steve's work off as best as possible. I still need one or two better trim parts but that's a waiting game.....

Hi Des,
Wow, that looks great
Due to the standard of the car, any trim parts that aren't perfect will stand out now, so you've made life a little difficult for yourself

Thanks Andy, it's a complete pita that can test your sanity but you have to stop somewhere and make the best of what you have until you eventually find the right part or indeed not.... One part that has to be right is the parcel shelf as I'm still on the search for an undamaged example.... Yeh rightandyd wrote:Hi Des

That just looks amazing Des. Hope to see it in person sometime as it's one of the best out there.
Good luck with the parts search. I'm off now to burn some more petrol in mine, shame to waste some great weather .

Re: B100CNH... The journey begins..
It's been worth waiting for this update, Des ! You literally have a new capri there! Probably better than when Ford made it ! Absolutely first class restoration that . Steve has done a great job !
When she's on the road make sure to take a scenic drive through Cawthorne won't you I'd love to see it !
Ps doesn't Steve use this forum anymore ? I've messaged him to no avail ! I'm desperate to find someone local who can soda blast my shell !

I was chatting with Des recently. He has been pretty busy recently so I hope he wont mind me saving him the time uploading some pictures. Trust me these are something else ! They were taken by Steve who has been doing this truly remarkable restoration on his 2.8i Special ! Chaps I don't need to say anymore as these pictures really do speak for themselves...still a bit to do but jeepers its already one of the best Capri's out there !!!

That does look great, although it would kill me to have to wait that long But it will be better than new
At least B112 is only gone for a week

Wow!
Thanks for uploading those photos Nick. As Andy wrote, it's taken a while but it looks like the wait will be over before too long. It's better to take time over something and do it properly, rather than rush now and regret it later.
