Mk3 2L "S" 78

Post by Arnoldhar » Thu Aug 13, 2015 3:07 pm

Guys, I have just been through a very intense rebuild to my 78 "S" which I have owned for nearly 30 years!, its been stuck in the garage for a long time up until this started back in September last year, but finally its 99% done and drivable and I can now put my feet up!
the first photo is from 1986 when I purchased the car, then a few extracts from the rebuild process, lets say it has at times been a challange

Love this car, you can see the effort put into it, it looks good in black & what a difference the later style alloys make to the overall look. Nice one, a great looking car, enjoy.
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks Rob, looking back now it all seems worth it but at times during the rebuild I did ask myself what have I started, now all I want to do is drive the thing, as I have had the car so long it's like going back in time.

Hi,
I agree with Rob, this car is just superb. Simply beautiful, and a credit to all your hard work.
John snapped your car at the Battlebridge show recently (see his thread in the gallery).

Surely you mean it's driveable and you can now put your foot down! :D

All the best,
Andrew.
