Not taking credit away from the work you have done though as the work is exceptional.

yeh your right if its all original then yeh ghia wheels would be fitted
with les car its no longer original and its being built from a picture in his mind which is brilliant i love doing them types of builds
yes standard is good dont get me wrong and dont right they look the nuts its the attention to detail on them

when his interior goes in the new screen/head linning and the finishing little touches its going to be an exceptional car
these things dont cost no where near as much as london prices thats whey i have a lot of cars in and booked in end of the day its a capri not a ferrari

next month there is a 3.0 ghia coming in for a resto all original a 1 owner car again that will be totally standard and will look the nuts when done

Hi Jim,
I agree the 4 spokes wheels are now often used, but they really suit the Capri and give in a wider stance, unlike the Ghia wheels which look too narrow IMO.
Plain Silver 4 spokes are good too and the Brooklands :D

Andy
P.S I think Les Car will be equally as good as the KGF Capri at £18000+ and I would Insure it close to that price
i think now more than ever the four spokes are more of a bargain than anything else at one stage everyone wanted brooklands wheels etc
i think they just look nice and clean and easy to replace if ever damaged

its like anything now when it comes to price its more what someone is willing to pay for them rather than what a website has them advertised for
ill admit i wouldnt sell the ghia for any less than 10k if i was les but its been built for him to treasure and pamper ;)

Fantastic Steve that finish looks great :applaud:
Why do so many paint guys get it wrong with the odd blemish? :( If I can see it then they can too.....

Don't know if you can ever get them 100%, but if its an everyday job and with todays products I don't see why not :?

hi andy
i know what you mean ive been there most of the time and these guys know there stuff the paint work is flawless
its all in the prep work leading up to the paint the paint is the easy bit but if you get the steps wrong before hand every little mark shows up like a sore thumb

i spent 8 hours with them wet flatting the primer was it worth the arm ache...hell yes
this one just like lezs 3.0 ghia is going to be a real head turner even more so thats its one of only two left

as i explained to the owner everything now that bolts to the car has to be perfect lol

Hi Steve,
Fantastic car, it really looks stunning in that shade of green. I take it that this is the Janspeed turbo 3.0?

All the best,
Andrew.

Didn't sell though. Mostly because of the price, but partly because of the colour scheme, I think.

Yeh it was a mix of capris really it has laser door cards and as you say the color scheme was down to personal taste shall we say

Hello,
I've seen this car before paint and the amount of work it needed would make most people scrap it. Well done to Steve for getting it to this point and if the finish is even half as good as mine it will be a real stunner especially as it's the only janspeed wearing it correct colours etc.
Les.
