Hi Rob,
Have you put the stripes back on yet? If so, do you have any photos for us to drool over?
Cheers,
Andrew.

Not yet Andrew, found someone local-ish to put them on, but been flat out on getting some shape on my garden, so haven't had the time to arrange anything. Want them on now, thanks for the kick up the arse, I'll get it sorted, just for youAndrew 2.8i wrote:Hi Rob,

Have you definitely made up your mind to fit the side stripes?
I was looking through the many photos I took of your car at QS, and I think that the colour of your car could carry off not having them.
If you do fit them, you're doing the right thing getting professionals to do it. It looks like any easy job to mess up......

Re: 2.8i Special Project Painted
Yes, thought about leaving it as is for a while, but my eldest bought me the stipes in 2015 for Father's Day, so it would be rude not to fit them.Andrew 2.8i wrote: Have you definitely made up your mind to fit the side stripes?
Taking a break from garden duties tomorrow as it's just too flaming hot, so I'll ring & arrange fitment, looking forward to finishing it off

Re: 2.8i Special Project Painted
Yes ! Capri passed it's mot today, so to celebrate I had them fitted. Wasn't sure which way to go, so asked the wife what she thought. Her answer, ' it now looks like a resprayed car, if you fit the stripes, it'll look like a good condition standard car '.Andrew 2.8i wrote: Have you definitely made up your mind to fit the side stripes?
I couldn't argue with that logic Happy now.

Looks lovely.
Definitely going to re-stripe mine now, after its back to having black grille and headlight surrounds, that will be the finishing touch.

Re: 2.8i Special Project Painted
Thanks Nick, I am happy with how it's turned out, especially when I've looked back to how it was when I bought it. Still plenty to do though ( I've seen your engine bay so I know how much there's still to do ) but for now I can enjoy putting more miles on it while the good weather is hereFordoholic Nick wrote:You much be well chuffed with the results.
