280 Resto update.

Post by Judgejules_1999 »

Ages since I joined and put pics of my 280 up, resto is now well under way, with floor all elded, and reapirs to the main shell now complete as well, the engine bay is now undergoing the makeover and a new front cross member is being put in. More photos to follow over the next few weeks.

Hi,
Nice car, I love the 280! :) It looks like you have put some hard work into the car already, but no doubt there is a bit more hard work to go before it's finished! The car didn't look to bad from the photos of when you got it, though.
Keep us posted with the progress.
All the best,
Andrew.

Could I ask why you say this? Alright I know they were the last of the capri to be made and the shells were most likely left outside in the rain in primer but in away that's in invalid statement, surely it's how the cars been looked after?

That might have gone on at Longbridge, but I just can`t imagine germans being that stupid.?
Again, how much of this is urban myth...who knows? Was anyone there?
