Too much emphasis on slowly eh
So, two months to finish it - not looking too likely but I'll keep at it :)

Cheers guys.

Ok, usual progress, i.e. slow
So spring means spending too much time on the garden at the weekends and then in the evenings its cold and damp! I've flatted back half the car and sorted a couple of imperfections so shouldn't be too far from paint now but I keep retreating inside because of the weather.

Cheers John.

Well, a slow summer.
Been doing odds and ends so new brake lines front to back and across the axle, new handbrake cable etc. Then I thought I should look at the rear brakes as I hadn't even had the drums off! Adjusters weren't bad but eased them off a little and copper greased. Brake cylinders not so good

ImageDSC_0195_zps90aee1a7 by Peter Smith, on Flickr

But I had a couple of spares, so no problem.
Drums and shoes weren't too bad but I had these kicking around so fitted new and kept the others as spares

ImageDSC_0196_zpse3d9d62f by Peter Smith, on Flickr

So I flatted the car back in spring but then guy who said he'd paint it gave me some 'magic dust' to rub on

ImageDSC_0181_zps85901622 by Peter Smith, on Flickr

So it was a case of sand that off to reveal any high or low points and it did show up some bits I wasn't happy with so a bit more fettling ensued.

ImageDSC_0197_zps2a7310a7 by Peter Smith, on Flickr

I then met with the guy who has told me for the last two years that he would paint the car but at the last finding a date it could happen has proved problematic. Shame it took him a month to tell me though!
Anyway, after a bit of chasing around today was the day that this happened :D
